Abstract: An interior kit for a funeral container includes a foot panel and at least one flexible fabric sheet. The foot panel includes a top panel, a first side panel coupled to and extending downward from a first edge of the top panel, and a second side panel coupled to and extending downward from a second edge of the top panel. The first side panel and second side panel are configured to be supported by and within a funeral container while the top panel covers at least a portion of an interior of the funeral container. A top portion of the inner foot panel is narrower than a lower portion of the inner foot panel. The at least one flexible fabric sheet is configured to cover the top panel and a portion of a deceased disposed beyond the top panel within the funeral container.

Abstract: A funerary method includes disposing a deceased adult human body in supine position on an insert having side walls and end walls. The method further includes providing the insert on a tray having two end panels and a plurality of side panels affixed to a bottom panel, and inserting a first edge of a first fabric segment between a side panel of the tray and a side wall of the insert. The first fabric segment is used to cover at least a portion of a top edge of at least the first side wall of the insert and at least a portion of the deceased human body, such that the deceased human body is sufficiently visible for identification. Thereafter, the insert and the deceased human body are removed from the tray.

Abstract: An urn is configured to receive cremation remains includes a folded corrugated fiberboard box. The folded corrugated fiberboard box has a bottom, a front panel, a rear panel, and first and second sides, and a lid configured to extend over a top opening and over the front panel in a closed position. The lid has a first flap inserted between the front panel and the first side in the closed position. The lid includes a window defined therethrough, and a transparent window cover, The front panel includes adhesive disposed adjacent to or aligned with the window, the adhesive configured to support a paper substrate having at least one image such that, when the lid is in the closed position, at least a portion of the at least one image is visible through the window.

Abstract: A shipment package includes container blanks and lid blanks. Each container blank has a first length and is foldable into a casket container. Each container blank has first and second folded over ends. The container blanks are stacked such that the first folded over ends of the plurality of container blanks are at least partially aligned, and such that the second folded over ends of the plurality of container blanks are at least partially aligned. Each lid blank is foldable into a casket lid having at least approximately the first length, and is configured to cover an interior of the casket container. Each lid blank is folded over a widthwise fold line such that the lid blank has a length less than the first length. A first lid blank is disposed between two container blanks, and between folded over ends of one of the container blanks.

Abstract: A casket lid includes a lid body and a bridge formed from a folded corrugated paper blank. The lid body extends partially over a casket body configured to receive a human body in supine position, the lid body having a first side configured to extend along a portion of a first casket body side, a second side configured to extend along a portion of a second casket body side, a first end configured to extend along a first casket body end, and an open end. Edges of at least two of the first side, second side, and first end define a lid body bottom plane. The bridge extends downward from the lid body near or at the open end, and defines a concave opening extending above the lid body bottom plane.

The end panels are foldably connected to the opposite end edges of the bottom panel, and are folded to extend inward from the corresponding opposite end edges. The folded blank also includes at least one gusset foldably connected to a side panel along a first fold line and connected to an end panel along a second fold line. The gusset has a diagonal fold, and has a first surface disposed adjacent to and coupled to the side panel in an additional location away from the first fold line.

The first fabric segment has a first length and a first width, and the second fabric segment having a second length and a second width. The substrate has a third length and a third width. The first lengthwise edge of the first fabric segment is secured to the substrate along the third length of the substrate, such that the second lengthwise edge of the first fabric segment can be disposed beyond at least one lengthwise edge of the substrate. The first lengthwise edge of the second fabric segment is secured to the substrate along the third length of the substrate, such that the second lengthwise edge of the second fabric segment can be disposed beyond the at least one lengthwise edge of the substrate.

Abstract: A method of assembling a casket assembly includes folding a left end of one side panel toward a main body portion to form part of a head end of the casket assembly. The method also includes folding a right end of the side panel toward the main body portion to form part of a foot end of the casket assembly. Another side panel is folded the same way, and also forms part of both the head end and the foot end. The method includes arranging the first side panel and the second side panel within a base of the casket assembly, and removably coupling a lid of the casket assembly to the side panels.

The method also includes later removing the insert and the deceased human body from the tray. A second insert having a second deceased human body is then disposed thereon on the tray.

The base has a length and a width sized and adapted to receive a deceased. The first fabric sheet is operably coupled to the base such that the first fabric sheet extends along and adjacent to an inside surface of the first side panel and an edge of the first fabric sheet is movable. The first fabric sheet is sized and coupled to substantially cover a width of the bottom panel. The second fabric sheet is operably coupled to the base such that the second fabric sheet extends along and adjacent to an inside surface of the second side panel and an edge of the second fabric sheet is movable. The second fabric sheet is sized to substantially cover the width of the bottom panel.
