    Abstract: An interior kit for a funeral container includes a foot panel and at least one flexible fabric sheet. The foot panel includes a top panel, a first side panel coupled to and extending downward from a first edge of the top panel, and a second side panel coupled to and extending downward from a second edge of the top panel. The first side panel and second side panel are configured to be supported by and within a funeral container while the top panel covers at least a portion of an interior of the funeral container. A top portion of the inner foot panel is narrower than a lower portion of the inner foot panel. The at least one flexible fabric sheet is configured to cover the top panel and a portion of a deceased disposed beyond the top panel within the funeral container.

The first fabric segment is used to cover at least a portion of a top edge of at least the first side wall of the insert and at least a portion of the deceased human body, such that the deceased human body is sufficiently visible for identification. Thereafter, the insert and the deceased human body are removed from the tray.

Each lid blank is foldable into a casket lid having at least approximately the first length, and is configured to cover an interior of the casket container. Each lid blank is folded over a widthwise fold line such that the lid blank has a length less than the first length. A first lid blank is disposed between two container blanks, and between folded over ends of one of the container blanks.

The end panels are foldably connected to the opposite end edges of the bottom panel, and are folded to extend inward from the corresponding opposite end edges. The folded blank also includes at least one gusset foldably connected to a side panel along a first fold line and connected to an end panel along a second fold line. The gusset has a diagonal fold, and has a first surface disposed adjacent to and coupled to the side panel in an additional location away from the first fold line.
