Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for delivering vaporised chemicals into the atmosphere. In one embodiment the device comprises a light bulb with a glass casing and a region of sinter glass. Alternative embodiments are disclosed in which the device comprises a retainer adapted to retain chemical carrying elements and fixing means adapted to secure the element to the heat source including low energy light bulbs. The chemical carrying element is preferably a sintered ceramic. The sintered ceramic preferably has a homogeneous particle and pore distribution and may be nanoporous.
