The removability of the backboard permits changing the message on the display. The display can be secured to a wall, floor, or any other suitable display location. The display can also be mounted in a movable pedestal for portable applications. Opaque appearance materials conceal internal components of the display. Controls permit varying the color intensity and flash rate of the neon tube.
