Abstract: A multi-tiered surgical table and a fitted drape for the table are disclosed. The table has a pair of table tops: a rearward, inclined top at a first elevation and a forward top at a lower second elevation. The drape has top panels corresponding in shape to the table tops, with a step panel therebetween to accommodate the change in elevation. The drape is provided, front, top and rear with receptacles for fluids and waste materials and pockets for surgical supplies such as sponges.
Abstract: A surgical drape is made from a pair of rectangular panels of drape material which are interconnected at a separation zone so that the panels to be pulled apart following a procedure. A fenestration is punched out of the material of one of the panels, near the perforated zone. The fenestration is covered by a flexible, transparent plastic window, preferably made of a polyethylene film and the perimeter of the window is bonded to the drape panel around the fenestration. The window is larger than the fenestration, and is folded or gusseted at its corners so that its center can rise well above the plane of the fenestration, in order to provide clearance for instruments which may be protruding from a surgical site over which the drape is placed.
Abstract: A surgical sponge counter includes a unitary molded plastic sponge tray defining a plurality of wells each sized to hold a lap sponge. Each well has a ledge defining a recess below the sponge for collecting fluid once the sponge is replaced in the tray. A needle counting receptacle tray may be nested within the sponge tray above the sponges.

Abstract: A drape having a pair of elongated sheets connected at distal ends to define a skirt, with opposing side walls in a first portion of the elongated sheets having a first width and in a second portion having a different width so the drape has a stair-step structure, with a paper and plastic laminated first and second tier panels attached to the elongated sheets in spaced-relation and a central panel attached therebetween, for covering a tiered surgical operating table.
