  • Publication number: 20170266006
Abstract: A stent for percutaneous vertebroplasty is described having a substantially tubular body that can be transitioned from a compressed state into an expanded state. The wall of the tubular body has a plurality of openings ensuring the expansion both in the longitudinal direction and in the peripheral direction of the stent. The stent has a cross-sectional shape deviating from the circular shape at least in the expanded state.

  • Patent number: 9498357
Abstract: The disclosed stent comprises at least two support portions and at least one connecting portion which follow one another in the longitudinal direction of the stent. Each support portion has multiple openings in the wall of the tubular body and border elements which are formed by the tubular body and which surround the openings and together with said openings form support portion cells in the expanded state. Two support portions which are adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction are connected via a connecting portion lying between said support portions, and each of the mutually facing end faces of the adjacent support portions are formed by a row of end-face cells of the respective support portion. The connecting portion comprises connecting elements which are formed by the tubular body and which connect the mutually facing end faces of the two adjacent support portions.

  • Patent number: 8858585
Abstract: A device for reducing or removing stenosis present in a blood vessel by means of a working catheter (7) is described. The working catheter comprises a lumen (8) forming a first working channel (9), extending from the distal end (11) to the proximal end of the working catheter for inserting an instrument (38) to reduce or remove the stenosis. Furthermore, a balloon catheter (16) is provided, which is configured separately from the working catheter, the balloon catheter comprising a sealing balloon (22) in the region of the distal end (21) thereof. The balloon catheter comprises two lumen (18, 20) that are configured separately from each other, of which one is connected to the sealing balloon for the dilation of the same, while the other one forms a second working channel (19) extending from the distal end to the proximal end of the balloon catheter.

  • Patent number: 5876449
Abstract: A stent for transluminal implantation in hollow organs, in particular in blood vessels, ureters, oesophagae or gall tracts, comprising a substantially tubular body is described. The stent can be transformed from a compressed state with a first cross-sectional diameter into an expanded state with a second enlarged cross-sectional diameter. The wall of the tubular body has apertures which repeat both in the longitudinal direction and also in the peripheral direction of the stent and permit the expansion. Each aperture has at least one section which is arranged obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the stent, both in the compressed state and also in the expanded state of the stent.

  • Patent number: 5861027
Abstract: A stent for the transluminal implantation in hollow organs, in particular in blood vessels, ureters, oesophagi or gall tracts, is described, having a substantially tubular body which has a plurality of apertures which are each bounded by elongated boundary elements. In each case at least two boundary elements bounding the same aperture and arranged alongside one another in the circumferential direction are extended beyond the end of the aperture and form a unitary detection element. The detection element has a greater width in the circumferential direction of the stent than each of the boundary elements.
