    Abstract: A headlight assembly for an automobile comprising a left region and a right region, the headlight assembly being configured to reduce an intensity of a light beam when an oncoming automobile is detected, is described. The headlight assembly includes, at least one light source, at least one light detector configured to detect the oncoming automobile and generate a signal, and a control module configured to receive the signal from the light detector, and reduce the intensity of the light beam. A method for reducing the intensity of a light beam of a headlight assembly for an automobile when an oncoming automobile is detected, is also described.

The assembly includes at least one primary light source, a means of determining an orientation of the automobile, the means being configured to generate a first signal when the orientation is varied, a means of determining an orientation of a steering device of the automobile, the means being configured to generate a second signal when the orientation of the steering device is varied, and a control unit configured to receive and condition the first and the second signal to produce a conditioned signal; and at least two secondary light sources, wherein at least one of the at least two secondary light sources is actuated by the conditioned signal transmitted from the control unit. The invention also describes a method for illuminating a path of the automobile while executing a turn.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a circuit for generating a control voltage depending on voltage phase of an input signal. The circuit comprises a first transistor; a second transistor, a diode, a Zener diode and a capacitor. Base and collector of first transistor along with collector of second transistor are connected to a DC voltage source. Anode of the diode is connected to base of the first transistor and cathode of the diode receives the input signal. Anode of the Zener diode is connected to the base of the second transistor and cathode of the Zener diode connected to the collector of the first transistor. The capacitor is connected between cathode of the Zener diode and ground terminal. During positive half cycle and negative half of input signal, the circuit outputs a high control voltage and a low control voltage respectively.
