Patents Assigned to Vasipari Kutato Intezet
  • Patent number: 4459314
Abstract: The main advantage of the process is that as starting substances by-products and wastes of the metallurgical industry can be used (pickling solution, lean ores etc.). The thus-obtained salt mixtures are more homogeneous than the mixtures known so far.

  • Patent number: 4350048
Abstract: The measuring journal according to the invention permits the construction of a measuring body which solves the troublefree transmission of a force between the structural elements, when measuring is carried out with the conversion of forces to electric signals, while in place of the shear- and bending stress, the mechanical stress is used for measuring-technical purpose. The measuring journal contains measuring elements connected to a central body and are developed as a longer and as a shorter measuring element. The torsional axes of the measuring elements are parallel with each other, are arranged symmetrically on both sides of the plane determined by the influence lines of the force bringing about the torsion and by those of the reaction force and are eccentric in relation to the geometrical axis of the measuring journal, while the plane determined by them is perpendicular to the plane determined by the reaction force and torsional force.

  • Patent number: 4344495
Abstract: The equipment according to the invention is suitable for the measurement of very small weight forces by conversion of the forces to be measured to 5-100-fold value. The equipment has two units, each containing at least three measuring arms, where the connection points of the measuring arms are attached to an extension bar, and the free ends of the measuring arms are connected to a single rigid element in such a way, that the connection points of the measuring arms are outside the planes fixed by the ends attached to the rigid element. The measuring arms and extension bar in the equipment are formed as pull rods. The measuring arms are arranged symmetrically or asymmetrically, and their number is optional. Infinite number of measuring arms may be used, in which case they are formed as membranes in the practice. Force-meter sensors, suitably elongation measuring resistors are built into the measuring arms, thus the output signal gives directly the measured value.

  • Patent number: 4294611
Abstract: A process for reducing the inclusion content of steels and refining their structure which comprises the steps of subjecting molten steel containing inclusions to a pressure of at least 1 atm; removing inclusions from the molten steel by introducing therein at said pressure an inclusion-removing alloy containing calcium or magnesium; and thereafter applying vacuum to the molten steel to evaporate residual calcium or magnesium from the steel.

  • Patent number: 4240825
Abstract: The invention relates to a new process for the simultaneous production of magnesium and cement from calcined dolomite or calcium and cement from calcined lime. According to the invention calcined dolomite or calcined lime is reduced under a pressure lower than 10 torr and at a temperature of 1300.degree. to 1600.degree. C. with a reducing agent containing silicon and aluminum in a weight ratio of 4:1 to 1:1, wherein the total amount of silicon and aluminum comprises 50 to 100% by weight. 100 to 200 parts by weight of the reducing agent are applied to convert 600 to 800 parts by weight of calcined dolomite or 700 to 1000 parts by weight of calcined lime.In contrast to the known procedures, the new method according to the invention provides cement as by-product instead of a useless slag.
