  • Publication number: 20190254544
Abstract: Method and MIMO radar apparatus using correlated motion decomposed from reflectance data of multiple time frames to enhance discriminatory capacity in imaging. Such imaging has application in tracking temporal patterns of respiratory and cardiac activities in addition to recognition of targets within non-stationary environments.

  • Publication number: 20140276031
Abstract: A microwave imaging sensor is disclosed which is resilient to background and skin clutter. Resilience is obtained by cancellation of skin reflections without mechanical displacement of the microwave antenna array or the subject, by utilizing reflections from other antennas and compensating for differences in propagation. The cancellation takes into consideration the expected strength of the reflection at different points in time and for different pairs, in order to minimize the effects on the image, and particularly on image reconstruction of symmetric targets.

  • Patent number: 8494615
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhanced microwave imaging of an object collects microwave responses for multiple combinations of transmit antennas, receive antennas, and object movement states. The responses are grouped into sets of responses corresponding to at least two object movement states. An image is reconstructed from the set of responses for each movement state, and a differential image representative of object movement is generated from the reconstructed image for each of the at least two object movement states. The differential image is overlaid on a reconstructed image to obtain an enhanced composite image of the object.
