Patents Assigned to Velcon Filters, LLC
  • Patent number: 8505742
Abstract: A separator cartridge includes a support tube formed of a perforated strip of metal configured to normally have a first diameter and a spaced array of hexagonal apertures formed therein and a substantially cylindrical screen member having a diameter less than the first diameter of the support tube, wherein a diameter of the support tube is decreased from the first diameter to a diameter less than the diameter of the screen member to be received in the screen member, and wherein the support tube causes the screen member to be maintained in a substantially taut manner.

  • Patent number: 8498750
Abstract: A system for monitoring a transient flow of a fluid for the presence of contaminants is disclosed. The system includes a fluid control valve having a body defining a fluid flow path therethrough. A fluid monitoring device is in fluid communication with the fluid flowing through the control valve. The fluid monitoring device is adapted to monitor the fluid flowing through the control valve for contaminants.

  • Patent number: 8368894
Abstract: A sensing system includes a housing having an inlet for receiving a fluid flow from a source and an outlet with for directing a fluid flow from the housing, wherein a longitudinal axis transverses a center of the inlet and the outlet; a flow conduit disposed in the housing and in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet, the flow conduit having a cross-sectional area that is substantially the same as a cross-sectional area of the inlet and the outlet, wherein a first length of the flow conduit along a second axis, and wherein the first axis and the second axis are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis; a light source for illuminating the fluid in the flow conduit along the first axis; and a sensor for detecting contaminants in the fluid.

  • Patent number: 8342043
Abstract: A system for collecting a sample of fluid from a fluid source and reintroducing the sample of fluid to the fluid source is disclosed. The system includes a pump in fluid communication with the source of fluid, a filter vessel in fluid communication with the pump and the source of fluid to receive a flow of fluid from the pump and substantially eliminate contaminants from the fluid flowing therethrough, and a fluid reservoir in fluid communication with the pump, wherein the fluid is directed from the pump into the fluid reservoir when in a sample mode.

  • Patent number: 8149401
Abstract: A method for detecting a presence of a particle in a fluid is disclosed. The method includes the steps of directing a beam of electromagnetic radiation into the transient fluid; providing a sensor to detect an intensity of the radiation after passing through at least a portion of the fluid; generating a data representing the intensity detected by the sensor; and analyzing the data based upon a statistical analysis to detect the presence of a particle in the fluid and determine whether the particle is water or a solid particle.
