Abstract: A fundraising coordination system which includes communication capacities with several different components or subsystems, including mobile devices and tracking devices, allows for fundraising activities to be carried out in an efficient and effective manner. The coordination system is configured with several cooperating modules including tracking module (in communication with a tracking device), a communication and promotion module, an event coordination module, a donations/pledges module, and a collections module. The various modules allow for fundraising activities, such as peer-to-peer and/or institutional fundraising, to be carried out in combination with tracking devices, thus providing efficiency and effectiveness. The use of tracking devices (e.g. gps tracking devices) makes the system more efficient by automatically tracking participant activities.
