Abstract: A container system includes a container insert including a material chamber and a number of ridges positioned along the material chamber. The system also includes a driving member engaged with and rotatable relative to the container insert, and a support member is positioned in the material chamber and includes a support surface on which a material in the material chamber may be positioned. A plug member is positioned between the support member and the container insert, and is configured to prevent passage between the support member and the container insert of a material which may be positioned in the material chamber. The support member is engaged with the driving member and movable in the material chamber in response to rotation of the driving member relative to the container insert, and the number of ridges limit rotation of the support member relative to the container insert.

Abstract: A container system includes a case member extending between a first end and an opposite second end and including a hollow interior. A driving member is rotatable relative to the case member, and a first engagement member is engaged with the driving member. A second engagement member is positionable in the hollow interior of the case member and configured to engage with a dispensable material positionable in the hollow interior. The first engagement member and the second engagement member are configured to releasably engage with one another in an arrangement where rotation of the driving member relative to the case member moves the first engagement member and the second engagement member in the hollow interior relative to the case member.

Each component of the housing assembly may designed to be reused, and each component of the insert assembly may be designed to be reused, recycled, or composted, depending on the materials employed for construction. Reusable components of the container may be constructed of non-reactive, durable materials that are not susceptible, or at least resistant, to rust and/or corrosion. Example materials for the reusable components include stainless steel, aluminum, carbon fiber, various types of polymers, and silicone. The container may be designed to allow simple and complete assembly and disassembly. The reusable parts may be cleaned, replaced, or repaired, as needed, and recyclable or compostable parts may be separated and cleaned in preparation for recycling or composting.

Abstract: A container system includes an outer container including a hollow interior, and a container insert positionable in the hollow interior of the container body. In one aspect, the container insert extends between a first end and an opposite second end and includes a generally cylindrical portion and an out-of-round portion positioned adjacent to the generally cylindrical portion. The out-of-round portion is enlarged relative to the generally cylindrical portion and configured to engage with a portion of the container body when the container insert is positioned in the hollow interior of the container body to provide a press fit between the container body and the container insert. In this or another aspect, the outer container includes a lateral opening and the container insert includes a flange which extends across at least a portion of the at lateral opening when the container insert is positioned in the hollow interior.
