Abstract: A system may provide dynamic web-based content in conjunction with text message content. A user may use text messages to interact with web content (e.g., to select hyperlinks, request information, provide information, etc.). A content server may process the text messages, sent by the user, in order to determine web content to provide to the user. The text messages may be authenticated by a message relay server, thereby eliminating the need for the content server to request authentication or identification information from the user.

Abstract: A device may receive an authentication request generated based on a request to access a service. The authentication request may include a user identifier. The device may identify a mobile device associated with the user identifier. The device may authenticate the mobile device, and may generate an access notification based on authenticating the mobile device. The access notification may include information relating to the request to access the service. The device may provide the access notification to the mobile device, and may receive an access response from the mobile device. The access response may indicate whether to permit access to the service. The device may cause access to the service to be permitted when the access response indicates to permit access to the service, or may cause access to the service to be denied when the access response indicates to deny access to the service.

Abstract: A device may receive traffic to be processed by one or more cloud computing resources associated with a cloud computing service provided via a cloud computing environment. The device may determine enforcement policy information associated with the traffic. The device may determine an aggregated performance metric associated with the traffic. The aggregated performance metric may be based on information associated with the one or more computing resources that are assigned to process the traffic. The device may determine a maximum performance metric associated with the traffic, and the maximum performance metric may be identified in the enforcement policy information. The device may compare the aggregated performance metric and the maximum performance metric, and may manage the traffic based on comparing the aggregated performance metric and the maximum performance metric.

Abstract: An approach for machine-to-machine vertical integration with publisher-subscriber architecture is provided. The approach includes dynamically registering a plurality of sensors associated with a plurality of subscribers. The sensors are monitored as part of a sensor platform to maintain sensor data for the plurality of subscribers. Also, the sensor data are acquired from the plurality of sensors as a collective data set to determine one or more trends. The collective data set is tagged with metadata for the determined trend.

Abstract: A device may be configured to store interactive program guide (IPG) data for generating an IPG. The IPG data may include information related to a media content service for providing media content and including information related to a home automation service for managing a home device. The device may receive input information from a media client device that causes display of the IPG. The input information may indicate an input related to the home device. The device may generate a part of the IPG related to the home automation service based on the input information and a part of the IPG data. The device may obtain home device information from a management server based on the input information. The device may provide the home device information and the part of the IPG to the media client device for display.

Abstract: A UAV gateway may be used to assist in the optimization of communications between a UAV and a cellular wireless network. The UAV may include a steerable, multi-faceted antenna array. In one implementation, the UAV may receive, from the cellular wireless network, network description information, describing the physical state of the cellular wireless network. The network description information may include, for example, locations of base stations near the UAV, transmit power associated with the base stations (or with cells provided by the base stations), and/or the transmit antenna patterns associated with the base stations. The UAV may use this information to optimize its communications with the cellular network.

Abstract: A content providing device may receive an indication to stream real-time content. The real-time content may include content captured by the content providing device. The content providing device may identify a dynamic content address, associated with the content providing device, to be used by a content receiving device to access the real-time content. The dynamic content address may identify an address of the content providing device from which the real-time content is to be streamed. The content providing device may provide the dynamic content address. The content providing device may receive, from the content receiving device, a request to access the real-time content, via the dynamic content address, based on providing the dynamic content address. The content providing device may stream the real-time content to the content receiving device, using the dynamic content address, based on receiving the request.

Abstract: A first device may receive a first session token from a second device; determine that the first session token is expired or invalid; provide a security input to the second device to cause the second device to generate a first hash value of the security input using a key corresponding to a key identifier (ID); receive the key ID and the first hash value from the second device; generate a second hash value using the key corresponding to the key ID; determine that the first hash value matches the second hash value; and establish a session with the second device based on determining that the first hash value matches the second hash value.

The selected multimedia stream is paused while the user browses the other available multimedia streams. The selected multimedia stream is cached while the user browses the other available multimedia streams. It is determined that the user has finished browsing the other available multimedia streams. The cached multimedia stream is output.

Abstract: A device may receive a first request to authenticate a user device for an emergency phone call requested by the user device via a wireless local area network (WLAN). The device may authenticate the user device based on the first request. The device may provide an authentication acceptance message, indicating that the user device is authenticated, based on authenticating the user device. The device may receive a second request, based on providing the authentication message, to establish the emergency phone call. The second request may include an emergency access point name (APN). The device may determine that the emergency APN is not provisioned for the user device. The device may provide, based on determining that the emergency APN is not provisioned, an instruction to allow the emergency phone call from the user device using the preconfigured APN.

Abstract: The deployment of application revisions and performing of application rollbacks across multiple application servers is streamlined by reducing the number of files that are communicated to the application servers to perform updates and rollbacks. An application service is provided by multiple application servers each executing a plurality of compiled code files associated with the application service. Each application server receives a compiled code file corresponding to an update for one of the plurality of compiled code files associated with the application service. The one compiled code file is replaced with the received compiled code file corresponding to the update. The application servers then provide an updated version of the application service by executing the plurality of compiled code files including the replacement compiled code file corresponding to the update. Application rollback is performed using compiled code files stored in a local repository of each application server.

Abstract: An approach for finding cost effective network connections while maintaining physical layer diversity is described. A logical segment within a path between a start node and an end node of a network is determined. A plurality of physical connections of the logical segment is then determined, wherein each of the physical connections is associated with a cost value, selecting one of the physical connections of the logical segment based on the cost values. A determination is made of another logical segment between the start node and the end node to include another physical connection, wherein the another logical segment is diverse physically with respect to the logical segment.

Abstract: A device may receive a virtual image of a first state of a first virtual machine. Session information of the state of the first virtual machine may be synchronized with a second state of a second virtual machine. The second state of the second virtual machine may become active when the first virtual machine becomes unavailable. The device may identify that the first virtual machine is unavailable; and output, based on the identifying, the virtual image of the first state to a particular third virtual machine, to cause the particular third virtual machine to restore the first state of the first virtual machine. The second state of the second virtual machine may become inactive when the first state is restored to the third virtual machine.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and non-transitory storage media provide a web-based graphical user interface to allow a user to control a softphone of a user device. A context handler operates on the user device and manages a page context of the web-based graphical user interface. A call manager operates as a RESTful web service on the user device. The context handler and the call manager communicate using JavaScript Object Notation with Padding (JSONP) messages. The call manager includes a finite state machine that indicates a current state of the softphone. The call manager generates application programming interface calls to the softphone in response to receiving JSONP messages. The user interface is updated to reflect the current state of the softphone based on execution of user selections by the softphone. The context handler chunks data into multiple JSONP messages if data exceeds a data size limitation of the JSONP.
