Abstract: A system and method may include processing a task assignment request comprising a task type corresponding to a task and querying a database based on the task assignment request and on the task type to identify an agent profile and agent status information for the identified agent profile, the agent profile comprising identification information to identify an agent workstation. The system and method may further include determining whether to generate assignment information for assigning the task to the agent workstation based on the agent status information.

Abstract: The present invention is an intelligent services network that uses a switch controller. The switch controller controls the operation of one or more programmable switches to accept calls from a public switched telephone network. The intelligent service network comprises intelligent service network components that are used for enhanced service processing, interconnection to external networks, and other call functions. Communication between the components allows for call set-up, connection to a terminating party, transfer to an alternate intelligent service network component, and termination of the call.

Abstract: A system may receive a test signal from a first server; monitor network activity associated with the device; determine when the device is in an idle state based on the network activity associated with the device; generate a first packet based on receiving the test signal and based on determining when the device is in the idle state; provide the first packet to a second server; receive a second packet from the second server based on providing the first packet to the second server, the second packet authorizing the device to perform the network test; communicate with a third server, associated with the second packet, to perform the network test independently of the first and/or second server; generate test results based on performing the network test; and provide the test results to the second server, the second server being capable of generating performance data based on the test results.

Abstract: An exemplary system includes a media content processing subsystem configured to provide a program guide graphical user interface having at least a first viewing pane and a second viewing pane to a display for presentation to a user, provide a selector object within the first viewing pane, and provide a list of content channels within the first viewing pane. When one content channel of the list of content channels is located within the selector object, the media content processing subsystem is further configured to provide within the second viewing pane a vertically oriented time axis and a vertically oriented list of at least one media content instance entry corresponding to at least one media content instance available via the one content channel during a time period represented by the time axis.

Abstract: A method may include receiving a first order associated with processing a media file and estimating resources associated with fulfilling the first order. The method may also include generating a first logical circuit representing network elements to fulfill the first order and connections between the network elements. The method may further include allocating resources based on the first logical circuit and executing the order using the allocated resources.

Abstract: An approach for managing calendar information received from a plurality of data sources is described. Calendar information associated respectively with a plurality of data sources is retrieved by a calendar management platform. For each of the data sources, metadata specifying a contributor of the corresponding calendar information and for relating distribution of the calendar information is determined. Based on the first and second metadata, a data view for the calendar information is generated.

Abstract: An approach is provided for detecting unauthorized wireless devices in a network. A platform retrieves an identifier of a device from a log of devices connected to a network, determines whether the device is a wireless device by applying a plurality of criteria to the identifier, retrieving a list of wireless devices authorized to connect to the network if the device is determined to be a wireless device, and compares the identifier with the list to determine whether the device is authorized to connect to the network.

Abstract: An antenna platform may include a support structure having a plurality of junctions configured to receive and connect at least two of a plurality of supports. At least one inner support may extend inwardly with respect to the support structure from one of the junctions to a center support. The center support may have a post and a base wherein the post may be configured to receive the at least one inner support extending from the support structure. The base may include a first portion and a second portion, the first portion being fixed to the post and rotatable with respect to the second portion. Upon rotating the first portion, the support structure may also be rotated via the at least one inner support connected to the post.

Abstract: A data record server is configured to receive transmission measurement data from one or more network components containing information about one or more packet data communications and create a data record for each of packet data communications. Data records corresponding to a particular network component are identified, associated with one or more time slots in a data measurement compilation, and used to analyze the resource usage of a network component by one or more of the subscribers or mobile devices.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes an attack traffic mitigation system 1) identifying a range of ports left open by a firewall for a network element to receive network traffic provided by a computing device, 2) designating a subset of one or more ports included in the range of open ports as being included in a legitimate port range configured to receive legitimate network traffic provided by the computing device, and 3) directing the network element to drop network traffic provided by the computing device and received by each port included in the range of open ports that is not included in the legitimate port range. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for local DVR scheduling conflict management (hereinafter, “SCM”). SCM systems allow for automatic organization, prioritization, and conflict resolution for multiple scheduled recording specifications. Conflicting scheduled recordings may be re-organized based on single-stage and/or multi-stage conflict resolution procedures. Embodiments of SCM systems may also implement weighted conflict resolution, wherein user preferences and/or prioritizations may be assigned to scheduled recordings and considered in the re-organization of conflicting recordings.

Abstract: Exemplary image calibration systems and methods are described herein. An exemplary method includes an image calibration system receiving data representative of an input camera image, detecting a face of a person represented in the input camera image, determining a predefined skin tone template associated with the person, and modifying the input camera image to change an appearance of the face of the person based on the predefined skin tone template associated with the person. In certain embodiments, the modification changes one or more skin tones represented by an image of the face of the person in the camera image based on the predefined skin tone template. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: A device may include a communication interface configured to receive a request from a client device, where the request identifies a first video on demand (VOD). The device may also include logic configured to identify capabilities associated with the client device, the capabilities including at least one of a decoding capability of the client device, a content protection scheme supported by the client device, or a transport protocol via which the client device can communicate, and forward the request for the VOD to a service provider associated with providing the first VOD. The logic may also be configured to receive a media stream from the service provider, the media stream corresponding to the first VOD, process the media stream in accordance with the identified capabilities, and forward the processed media stream to the client device.

The active RP device may be the primary RP device or the secondary RP device. The device may replace the virtual RP address, included in the multicast information, with information that identifies the active RP device. The information that identifies the active RP device may be the primary RP address or the secondary RP address. The device may participate in the multicast based on the information that identifies the active RP device.

Abstract: A server device may receive, from a user device, a request to store a unique copy of particular content, associated with a particular user; store, in a storage device associated with the server device, the unique copy of the particular content; determine a set of attributes of the particular content; determine a set of criteria based on which the unique copy of the particular content should be provided to the user device, the determining being based on one or more attributes, of the set of attributes of the particular content; determine that the set of criteria have been met; output, based on determining that the set of criteria have been met, the unique copy of the particular content to the user device; and delete the unique copy of the particular content from the storage device after outputting the particular content to the user device.

Abstract: A user device may detect, using a first radio associated with the user device, a presence of a location reference device; and determine a location associated with the user device. When determining the location associated with the user device, the user device is to receive location information from the location reference device, via the first, and refrain, based on detecting the presence of the location reference device, from determining the location using a second radio associated with the user device while the user device is within a communication range of the location reference device.

Abstract: A device is configured to obtain base station information for base stations indicating whether data communicated via a respective base station should receive optimization processing. The device may obtain a base station identifier from a base station. The device may determine whether the data communicated via the base station should receive the optimization processing based on the base station information and the base station identifier. The device may receive non-optimized data to be sent to a client device via the base station. The device may selectively cause the optimization processing to be performed on the non-optimized data based on whether the data communicated via the base station should receive the optimization processing. The device may provide optimized data generated by the optimization processing or the non-optimized data to the client device via the base station based on selectively causing the optimization processing to be performed.

Abstract: A system, or device, may be configured to receive a request to place a voice call; forgo placing the requested voice call; and present a visual interface, associated with an intended callee of the requested voice call, in lieu of placing the requested voice call. The system or device may determine to place the voice call to the original number, or to a different number, based on an input, which is based on the visual interface, from a user who may have, or may not have, made the request.

Abstract: An approach is provided for securely storing sensitive data values. A primary facility is provided that directly or indirectly receives requests from a requestor to store an actual data value. The primary facility obtains a replacement value associated with the actual value and encrypts the actual value, and the replacement value is transmitted to the requestor. The replacement and encrypted values are stored in a master copy database at the primary facility, and copies thereof are stored in distributed secondary databases. When the requestor needs an actual data value, the requestor transmits the replacement value either to the primary facility for retrieval of data from the master database, or to the secondary facility for retrieval from the respective secondary database. The chosen facility retrieves the encrypted value from its respective database using the replacement value, decrypts the encrypted value, and transmits the actual value back to the requestor.
