  • Patent number: 11019528
Abstract: Systems and methods enable a wireless station in a radio access network to apply slice-based admission control. A wireless station receives, from a core network, network slice data for each network slice available via the wireless station, wherein the network slice data includes a slice identifier and corresponding slice status for each network slice; and receives, from a user equipment (UE) device, a service request that indicates a network slice identifier previously assigned to the UE device. The wireless station applies, based on the network slice data from the core network and the network slice identifier from the UE device, admission controls to forward the service request to the core network when the one of the network slices, corresponding to the network slice identifier, is not congested, and delay or redirect the service request when the one of the network slices, corresponding to the network slice identifier, is congested.

  • Patent number: 11018872
Abstract: A device receives call information associated with a call from a first user device to a second user device, where the first user device is associated with a first network, and the second user device is associated with a second network separate from the first network. The call information includes a caller identification and is received via an originating network device of the first network. The device determines whether the caller identification is verified, and adds authentication information to the call information when the caller identification is verified. The device receives the call information and the authentication information from a terminating network device of the first network, and removes the authentication information from the call information. The device adds a cryptographic signature to the call information, and causes the call information and the cryptographic signature to be provided to the second network for routing to the second user device.

  • Patent number: 11017100
Abstract: A risk assessment platform receives an indication of a first user authentication event associated with a user's attempt to access a first protected resource, and collects first user and device attributes associated with a first authentication process applied to the user and the user's device. The risk assessment platform receives an indication of a second user authentication event associated with the user's attempt to access a second protected resource, and collects second user and device attributes associated with a second authentication process applied to the user and the user's device. The risk assessment platform determines a level of risk of identity fraud associated with the user based on the first and second user and device attributes, and grants or denies the user access to the second protected resource based on the determined level of risk of identity fraud associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 11014578
Abstract: A device receives location data that identifies geographic locations of a vehicle at corresponding times, and speed data that identifies respective speeds of the vehicle at the set of corresponding times. The device identifies, based on the location data, speed limit data that identifies respective speed limits at the geographic locations. The device determines, based on the respective speeds and the respective speed limits, a set of respective relative speed values associated with the vehicle. The device identifies respective relative speed values, of the set of respective relative speed values, that exceed a threshold. The device determines, based on the respective relative speed values, a univocal speed indicator that represents an overall degree to which the respective relative speed values exceed the threshold, during a time interval that includes the corresponding times. The device performs a set of actions based on the univocal speed indicator.

  • Patent number: 11018778
Abstract: A random acoustic phase scrambler device is installed in-line with a telecommunications fiber link to prevent voice detection via fiber links. The device includes a transducer to produce vibrations; a length of optical fiber positioned to receive the vibration from the transducer; and a random acoustic phase driver configured to control the intensity and frequency of the vibrations. The transducer produces randomized vibrations within an acoustic bandwidth. The device is configured to introduce device-induced phase changes to signals within the telecommunications fiber link. The bandwidth of the device-induced phase changes is greater than the bandwidth of voice-induced phase changes, and the device-induced phase changes are greater in intensity than the voice-induced phase changes. The device-induced phase changes mask voice-induced phase changes through the telecommunications fiber link that are otherwise detectable by voice detection equipment tapped to the telecommunications fiber link.

  • Publication number: 20210152520
Abstract: A network firewall detects and protects against persistent low volume attacks based on a sequence of network data having a pattern that matches by some threshold or percentage a sequence of network data from an earlier iteration of the same persistent low volume attack. The attack patterns are derived from tokenizing one or more elements from a captured sequence of network data that is representative of an attack iteration. Counts for different resulting tokens may be stored in a feature vector that represents the attack pattern. If subsequent sequences of network data have a sufficient number of similar token, a pattern match can be identified and the firewall can take protective action including blacklisting the sending clients, blocking the traffic, redirecting the traffic, sending a problem to verify the sender is an actual user, or other actions.

  • Publication number: 20210152999
Abstract: A device may receive first data items and second data items that may have been output by sensor devices. The device may add, to a node in a data structure, at least some of the first data items. The device may divide the node to create subnodes that correspond to subregions of a geographic region. The device may add, to at least one of the subnodes, at least some of the second data items. The device may generate a probability of a first relationship, between the first data items and the second data items, based on determining subnodes that include a first data item and determining subnodes that exhibit a predefined second relationship with a second data item. • Patent number: 11012343
Abstract: A device may receive information identifying existing virtual network functions (VNFs) associated with an existing virtual radio access network (VRAN), and may receive information identifying proposed VNFs to deploy with the existing VRAN, wherein the information identifying the proposed VNFs includes VNF descriptors indicating interface dependencies associated with the proposed VNFs. The device may generate testing configurations, for testing the proposed VNFs, based on the interface dependencies, and may determine that a set of the proposed VNFs are validated based on testing the proposed VNFs with the testing configurations. The device may derive dependency constraints for the set of the proposed VNFs based on the information identifying the existing VNFs, and may select a new VNF that satisfies the dependency constraints, based on the set of the proposed VNFs. The device may cause the new VNF to be deployed with the existing VRAN.
