  • Patent number: 8500719
Abstract: A catheter support comprising a pliant tubular structure of rigidity greater than the penis including a region surrounding the penis shaft, a region surrounding the penis head, and a substantially closed end having an aperture aligned with the penis terminal opening through which the catheter is received. The catheter support limits or eliminates catheter movement substantially radial to the axis of the catheter and thus radially against the inner opening if the penis head, substantially reducing or eliminating abrasion or other insult to the penis surfaces and tissue that interface with the catheter. One embodiment comprises 2 substantially identical elongated halves having longitudinal recesses and hinged together to close around the penis end and catheter providing the catheter support in a structure having improved comfort and wearability.

  • Patent number: 7732031
Abstract: A system including multiple items releasably secured on a smooth carrier sheet having a plurality of, or groups of striations ranging in depth from 5 to 99 percent of the thickness of the carrier sheet. In one exemplary embodiment, a first group of striation includes a plurality of parallel striations oriented generally along one axis, and a second group of striations includes a plurality of parallel striation oriented generally along a second axis. During shipment, the adhesive retains sufficient traction to the carrier sheet by engaging the striations to substantially eliminate the lateral movement or sliding of the items from their original position on the carrier sheet. When removed from the carrier sheet, the adhesive releases from the carrier sheet and remains retained by the items even though the adhesive partially flowed into the carrier sheet striations.

  • Publication number: 20030170532
Abstract: A battery changing system having a battery chamber housing a first battery connected to a circuit, and receives a second, replacement battery which becomes connected to the circuit and displaces the first battery from the battery chamber as the second battery is being inserted, maintaining continuity of power to the circuit. Embodiments include a system which displaces the battery from the same side or opening in which the replacement battery is inserted, and a system which displaces the battery from another opening in the battery chamber.
