Abstract: A sliding roof for a vehicle, having a fixed roof provided with an opening defined by a support frame, which movably supports a panel which in its front position closes the opening in the fixed roof. Upon actuation of a displacement member this movable panel, while lifting its rear side, may be moved partly outside the roof opening into positions above the fixed roof. On either side the movable panel is connected to the support frame exclusively by means of a plurality of pin-guide slot assemblies each consisting of a guide slot and a pin which may slide therein.

Abstract: A sliding roof for a vehicle is provided including a panel. In the forward position, the panel closes an opening in a fixed roof. Upon operation of an actuating member, the rear edge of the panel is raised and is partly displaceable outside the roof opening into positions above the fixed roof. The panel is supported near its front edge by a horizontal cross-shaft of at least one front support. The front support is movable backward and forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. At least one cross-pin at the upper end of a lever engages the panel backwards from the front support. The lever is pivotally supported at its lower end for pivotal movement about a horizontal transverse axis. The actuating member engages the front support and moves the same in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in order to displace the panel while the cross pin at the upper end of the lever is rotatably and slidably engaged with a slot formed underneath the panel.

Abstract: A vehicle, in particular a motor-car, provided with a sliding roof assembly. This sliding roof assembly comprises a sliding panel which is mounted in a frame so as to be movable forward and backward, and which closes a ventilating opening in its forward position and releases this ventilating opening in its opened position, while a roof plate, fastened on the frame, forms a covered portion behind this ventilating opening underneath which the sliding panel extends at least partly when in its opened position. The assembly consisting of the frame, the sliding panel and the roof plate is inserted from above into a substantially rectangular opening in the vehicle roof and is connected on the vehicle roof by means of a peripheral supporting rim of this assembly. The upper side of this assembly is provided with a cover. The supporting rim of the assembly is at least substantially flat in the direction perpendicular to the adjacent edge of the opening in the vehicle roof.
