  • Patent number: 8538854
Abstract: A method and apparatus filters and/or sorts responses to electronic requests for quotes for a product or products offered for sale. The method includes comparing first data of each of a plurality electronic quotes to first data of an electronic request for quote. Each of the plurality of electronic quotes is classified as either a matching quote or a non-matching quote in response to the computer system comparing first data of the plurality electronic quotes and the electronic request for quote. Each matching quote is identified as having first data that equals the first data of the electronic request for quote. Each non-matching quote is defined as having first data that does not equal the first data of the electronic request for quote.

  • Patent number: 8126777
Abstract: A system and method for multi-source transaction processing receives order requests from a client system operated by a user. The order requests may include order placements and order inquiries. For example, an order request may be a placement for a computer system and associated peripherals. The user may have particular fulfillment organization preferences, and different components of the computer system and associated peripherals may be fulfilled by different fulfillment partners. Accordingly, the orders order requests are processed by an order request servicing system to, for example, split the order request into multiple processed order requests and each of the processed order requests is associated with an order request management system and prepared for transmission to the associated order request management system. The order request management systems can utilize the processed order requests to fulfill the order request.

  • Patent number: 7480860
Abstract: A data management system for generating customized versions of data documents. Initially the document is stored as in the form of raw data, which is subsequently parsed into an internal representation of the document. In one embodiment, raw data is stored in XML form and is parsed by an XML parser. Upon the initial request for a customized version of the document, a sequence of transforms is applied to the internal representation and to subsequently transformed documents in order to create hierarchical, customized document levels. In one embodiment, transforms are implemented as either XSL stylesheets, although Java classes may also be employed. The document versions are written to cache, and subsequent requests for existing versions of the document are referred to cache. In the event that any document dependencies change, a cached version will be denoted invalid, and subsequent requests will result in the re-generation of a customized version.
