Patent number: 11157830Abstract: An automated Web portal template generation method includes parsing, via a parser subsystem, a number of Webpages of a first Website from which a Web portal template to be customized is to be accessed. The method further includes producing an entity feature set for the first Website based on a result of the parsing and processing the entity feature set for the first Website via a classifier subsystem to produce a set of data that represents, for each of a plurality of entities, a respective probability of the entity belonging to a respective one of a plurality of classes. The method additionally includes performing, by a color matching subsystem, color matching on the set of data produced by the classifier subsystem to generate a number of proposed color combinations for a proposed customization of the Web portal template.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2017Date of Patent: October 26, 2021Assignees: Vertafore, INC., RiskMatch, INC.Inventors: Sara Garrison, Aleksey Sinyagin

Patent number: 9600400Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring the rendering time for individual components of a software application, such as a single page application (SPA). Baseline screenshots are captured for specific screen regions associated with selected components. After invalidating associated application caches, one or more selected components are reloaded. After respective server calls complete, which time corresponds to rendering start times, test screenshots of the specified regions are captured during re-rendering and are compared to their corresponding baseline screenshots. When a match is found for a component under test, the time the match is found is marked as a rendering completion time. The rendering completion time for each component may be compared to the corresponding rendering start time to determine the amount of time taken to render each of the components of the application.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2015Date of Patent: March 21, 2017Assignee: Vertafore, Inc.Inventor: Kevin R. Patent number: 9507814Abstract: A bit level file comparison system compares two file systems, each of which includes any number of individual files, to determine whether the file systems are identical at a bit level. A hashing function is applied to each file in the first file system to generate a hash value that is logically associated with the respective file in the first file system. The hashing function is applied to each file in the second file system to generate a hash value that is logically associated with the respective file in the second file system. The hash value associated with a file in the first file system is compared with the hash value associated with the corresponding file in the second file system to determine whether bit level differences between the respective file in the first file system and the second file system.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2013Date of Patent: November 29, 2016Assignee: Vertafore, Inc.Inventor: Raul Alvarez

Patent number: 9384198Abstract: An agency management and content management integration system links agency management system domain entities (such as clients, policies, claims, vendors) to content management system content hierarchical structures (such as client files, policy folders, claims folders, vendor files). End users can quickly navigate to the appropriate content management system structure or structures when working with an entity in the agency management system via button integration. The agency management and content management integration system automatically creates and updates the content management system when changes are made to the agency management system. This may include providing multiple mappings between the entities of the insurance agency management system and content hierarchical structures, a preview of changes to the content hierarchical structures, a testing environment to test the content hierarchical structure changes, and troubleshooting logs resulting from testing of the content hierarchical structure.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2011Date of Patent: July 5, 2016Assignee: Vertafore, Inc.Inventors: Derrick Brown, Roger Blair, Steven Finch, Igor Wolbers, Gerald Taylor, Aleksey Cherkasov

Patent number: 9367435Abstract: A method of testing a web service includes obtaining web service metadata from the web service. Test cases are generated automatically using the web service metadata, heuristic algorithm modules selected based on the contents of the web service metadata, and stochastic processes. Energy selection logic is used to update test parameters included in the test cases between rounds of testing until a set of test cases is generated that produces test results meeting one or more predetermined criteria. Testing is performed periodically using that set of test cases until the test results indicate that the web service has changed. New test cases are automatically generated and used to test the web service until test results meet the one or more predetermined criteria.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2013Date of Patent: June 14, 2016Assignee: VERTAFORE, INC.Inventors: Aleksey Sinyagin, Justin P. Vinall, Fang Wang

Patent number: 8731973Abstract: Overlaying images in automated insurance policy form generation includes electronically converting a first form in a first format to a second format to and in response to receiving a Web page request, electronically communicating the second form to be displayed within the Web browser instead of electronically communicating the first form in the first format to be displayed within the Web browser. In the case where the first format is Adobe® portable document format (PDF) and the second format is Joint Picture Expert Group (JPEG) format, this enables the user of the browser to overlay images on the forms within the Web page interface of the browser, while it appears to the user they are overlaying images on the original PDF versions of the forms. The final integrated PDF form is then generated from the data indicating the location of the overlay image on the underlying JPEG form.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2011Date of Patent: May 20, 2014Assignee: Vertafore, Inc.Inventors: David Martin Anderson, Yi Zhang

Patent number: 8700682Abstract: An abstraction layer is provided between databases of back office systems and a markup language based interface, which may allow Web access to data in the databases of the back office systems. Schemas, metadata and validation files are generated from an intermediary representation of the database, which may be flat, non-hierarchical files. Markup language based templates may be generated based on the schemas, metadata and validation files. Markup documents or “markup” may be generated using the templates and the schemas, metadata and validation files. Workflow may be defined and imposed on the generation of the markup.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2009Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: Vertafore, Inc.Inventors: Doug Tedder, Paul Corriveau, John Kushiner

Publication number: 20120232934Abstract: Automated insurance policy form generation and completion includes electronically receiving one or more forms and receiving an indication that a particular form is an overflow form for a particular base form. The relationship between the overflow form and base form is recorded based on the received indication and the fields on the base form and overflow form are tagged according to a naming convention. The number of overflow forms to use is determined based on an amount of received data and by using the naming convention to determine a number of available fields on the base form and overflow forms.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2011Publication date: September 13, 2012Applicant: VERTAFORE, INC.Inventors: Yi Zhang, Harry Snyder
