Patent number: 9341168Abstract: A device for applying a directed contact pressure force to a multitude of samples. A first part of the device includes a multitude of sample receptacles that receive a multitude of joining surface modules of the same kind, and a second part of the device is connected to the first part in such a manner that a multitude of fluidically intercommunicating hydraulic cylinders in one of the two parts can load the joining surface modules simultaneously in a loading direction at a predetermined force that is substantially identical in respect to all samples.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2013Date of Patent: May 17, 2016Assignee: Bundesrepublik Deutschland, vertreten durch das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie, dieses vertreten durch den Präsidenten der BAM, Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und—prüfungInventors: Uwe Beck, Stefan Hielscher, Matthias Weise, Kai Kittler

Patent number: 9035266Abstract: The invention concerns a dosimeter for the determination of an absorbed dose (D) of a radiation field (26), the dosimeter having a dosimeter probe (12), which has (a) a sensor (14), which has a sensor volume that emits electrical charges (Q) when exposed to ionizing radiation, (b) a cable (18) for the transmission of the charges (Q) and (c) an evaluation unit (20), which is designed for the capture of a physical quantity (U), which corresponds to the emitted electrical charge (Q), which is characterized by the fact that the evaluation unit (20) is arranged for (d) the detection of a interval cycle of the radiation field (26), (e) the recording of a measurement number of measurements of a physical quantity (U) corresponding to the electrical charge, which is always read at the same time relative to the interval cycle, so that an initial raw measured value (U1) and at least one second raw measured value (U2) are obtained per interval, and (f) the calculation of a measured value (D) from the at-least two raw meaType: GrantFiled: April 15, 2010Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Assignees: BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND, VERTRETEN DURCH DAS BUNDESMINISTERIUM FUR WIRTSCHAFT UND TECHNOLOGIE, DIESES VERTRETEN DURCH DEN PRASIDENTEN DER PHYSIKALISCH-TECHNISCHEN BUNDESANSTALTInventors: Jens Illemann, Christoph Makowski

Publication number: 20130209910Abstract: A fuel cell arrangement operable in environments that are prone to explosions including a fuel cell stack 14 that is housed in a containment vessel 15 filled with a heat equalizing fluid 26 and provided with a cooling system. The heat equalizing fluid 26 flows around all sides of the fuel cell stack 14 and prevents a direct concentrated heat transfer from the surface of the fuel cell stack 14 to the containment housing 15. The heat equalizing fluid 26 buffers and distributes local heat peaks originating from the fuel cell stack 14 and thus eliminates ignition sources.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2011Publication date: August 15, 2013Applicants: BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND VERTRETEN DURCH DAS BUNDESMINISTERIUM FUR WIRTSCHAFT UND TECHNOLOGIE, R. Patent number: 7916920Abstract: A magnetic resonance tomograph is provided with a magnetic resonance system comprising at least two high-frequency transmitting/receiving units, each containing 1) a high-frequency transmitting/receiving coil, 2) a high-frequency current source that can be coupled to the high-frequency transmitting/receiving coil for transmitting, and 3) an amplifier that can be coupled to the high-frequency transmitting/receiving coil for receiving. A selector switch is provided, which keys a supply voltage to disconnect the amplifier during a transmission operation and the high-frequency current source during a receiving operation from the high-frequency transmitting/receiving coil. An inductor and a capacitor are provided between the high-frequency transmitting/receiving coil and the amplifier and form a series resonating circuit at the magnetic resonance frequency.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2008Date of Patent: March 29, 2011Assignees: Bundesrepublik Deustschland, vertreten durch das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie, dieses vertreten durch den Präsidenten der Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt, Universität LeipzigInventors: Frank Seifert, Evgenia Kirilina, Thomas Riemer

Patent number: 7385214Abstract: The invention relates to a measuring arrangement comprising a sensor head (13) that can be displaced over a surface (11) at a distance therefrom in a scanning direction (R), a plurality of distance sensors which are suitable for distance measurement and are interspaced in the scanning direction in a fixed manner, a displacement device for displacing the sensor head (13) in such a way that points of the surface (11) are detected in successive scanning steps carried out by a plurality of distance sensors, and an evaluation device to which the output signals of the distance sensors are supplied. According to the invention, one such measuring arrangement is improved by an angle measuring device (14, 15) for determining an angle value of the sensor head (13) in relation to the scanning direction (R), and for forwarding said angle value to the evaluation device. In this way, systematic measuring errors can be eliminated for the reconstruction of a topography of the surface (11) in the scanning direction (R).Type: GrantFiled: July 4, 2005Date of Patent: June 10, 2008Assignee: Bundesrepublik Deutschland, vertreten durch das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie, dieses vertreten durch den Präsidenten der Physikalisch-Technischen BundesanstaltInventors: Ingolf Weingaertner, Clemens Elster, Michael Schulz
