Abstract: A fire protection sprinkler that includes a body defining an internal passageway extending along a sprinkler axis between an inlet end and an outlet end to define a passageway length and a nominal K-factor greater than 16. A deflector is supported and spaced from the outlet end by a pair of support arms. The sprinkler includes means for allowing a flow of water from the outlet end of the body. The means includes a closure assembly having a body defining a blind bore and a thermally responsive glass bulb. The glass bulb has a first end disposed within the blind bore defining a first seat diameter and a second end defining a second seat diameter. The glass bulb has a bulb length that is greater than the length of the internal passageway and a maximum wall thickness less than the difference between the bulb length and the passageway length.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for generating a nanoaerosol, wherein at least one fluid to be atomized is atomized in a nozzle via a nozzle opening of the nozzle along a discharge direction in the form of fluid particles, the atomized fluid particles are deflected from the discharge direction and larger fluid particles are at least partially separated from smaller fluid particles, the separated larger fluid particles are returned to the fluid to be atomized and the smaller fluid particles are dispensed onto the environment. A cartridge in which the nozzle and the fluid to be atomized are arranged is used. According to the invention, a stream of a carrier gas is generated in the nozzle and at least one fluid to be atomized is brought into contact with the carrier gas.

Abstract: Sleeve for muscle or joint regions of the human body having an inner side (2a) in contact with the body and an outer side (2b) facing away from it, wherein it is proposed according to the invention that a sequence of elastic strip bodies (1) is provided at least in sections of the sleeve, which are held spaced apart from one another parallel to one another in an air-permeable shell (2), which forms respectively one connecting web (3) running centrally in the longitudinal direction of the strip bodies (1) between adjacently located strip bodies (1). The sleeve is primarily intended for use during sleep and prevents cooling of the covered areas by reliably avoiding the formation of perspiration. After putting in place, the sleeve according to the invention results in a massage and therefore improved circulation in the tissue and an enhanced metabolism. It therefore has a pain-relieving, relaxing, decongesting and swelling-reducing effect.
