Abstract: An assembly for use in a crankcase ventilation system of an internal combustion engine includes a shutter arrangement that is constructed and arranged for preventing that residual gases and/or vapors out of a crankcase flow into an air intake system during a period of time that starts at shut down of the engine and ends after it has been re-started. The assembly also includes an outlet that is constructed and arranged for removing at least a substantial part of the residual gases and/or vapors from the engine as long as it is shut down.
Abstract: A multivalve with a storage bag and a storage bag configured for temporarily accommodating a liquid gas fuel around a discharge for a liquid gas fuel store formed from a deformable memory material, wherein the storage bag has a temporary, size-reduced position, an outer diameter of the storage bag then being less than 48 mm, and a second, operative position, the storage bag having a sufficient volume. A multivalve with a storage bag includes a storage bag having a bottom with sides rising from the bottom, a one-way valve being placed in or close to the bottom and connected to an inlet in the storage bag, the one-way valve being welded to the plastic of the storage bag.
Abstract: A diesel engine for combusting a diesel-LPG mixture includes a fuel system for supplying diesel and LPG. The mixture is obtained by combining the fuel flow from a LPG tank and diesel tank. Increased pressure is applied in both fuel flows for mixing purposes. Immediately following the mixing a circulation system is present in which increase in pressure also takes place, wherein a part of the mixture is supplied to a high-pressure pump for injection to the diesel engine and a part is recirculated. In a method of supplying the diesel-LPG mixture, the part of the mixture that is supplied to the high-pressure pump is returned to a position upstream of the mixing point. The pressure in the fuel system is higher downstream of the mixing point. When the LPG supply is switched off the pressure can be gradually decreased through circulation.
Abstract: An arrangement and method for a combustion engine with direct injection and in particular to switching between two types of fuel is disclosed. A high-pressure pump (10) is connected to a combustion engine and the high-pressure rail for the direct injection of a fuel. At least two fuel storages (21,27) containing petrol and liquefied gas are present. The arrangement allows for switching from one fuel to another. Switching occurs by purging a fuel from the high-pressure pump (10) and the fuel supply line connected thereto by temporarily collecting the fuel in a purge unit (28). The purge unit (28) is arranged for purging the high-pressure pump (10), thus forcing out the prevailing fuel and replacing it with the new fuel.
