Patents Assigned to VibraTech AB
  • Patent number: 7871383
Abstract: An arrangement for taking a sample of cells from a suspicious lesion or a tumor with the so called fine needle aspiration technique, provides a good penetration of tumors, especially small and/or hard fibrous tumors, and in the meantime yielding an increased amount of cells in the sample, by applying a longitudinal movement to the needle when the needle is penetrating the tumor and by applying both a rotational and a longitudinal movement to the needle when the needle is positioned inside the tumor. The arrangement is further provided with heat generating elements in order to apply a short pulse of heat to the needle in order to lower the risk for the tumor to spread.

  • Publication number: 20080058705
Abstract: Arrangement for treatment of a tumour localized inside a body, comprising a needle that is intended to be inserted into said tumour, a ground electrode that is intended to be applied to the outer surface of the body, and a radio frequency generating device that is intended to apply radio frequency energy between the needle and the ground electrode such that heat is generated in tissue surrounding the needle. The arrangement further comprises novel temperature measurement means and means that provides for a better penetration of the needle into the tumour in comparison with prior art RFA arrangements.

  • Publication number: 20070270712
Abstract: An arrangement for sinus evacuation and for taking a sample of bone marrow during a bone marrow aspiration procedure as well as a bone marrow biopsy procedure. By applying a longitudinal movement to the needle when the needle is penetrating the bone the penetration force is reduced which lower the risk of penetrating the posterior cortex or the second sinus wall. The arrangement further includes a stopping element that prevents the needle to penetrate deeper than to a predetermined depth. The arrangement further includes longitudinal movement a stopping element that provides for an active break of the longitudinal movement of the needle when the needle has penetrated down to the predetermined depth.
