Abstract: A method and system for processing online/offline multimedia data are disclosed. The system comprises a remote mainframe, a local host and a portable apparatus. When the portable apparatus is electrically connected with the remote mainframe and the local host, the portable apparatus can immediately exchange multimedia data exchange with the remote mainframe and the local host. When the portable apparatus is not electrically connected with the remote mainframe and the local host, the portable apparatus can independently process the multimedia data previously received from the remote mainframe and the local host; also the portable apparatus can update the multimedia data with the remote mainframe and the local host when the portable apparatus is electrically reconnected with the remote mainframe and the local host. With the system configuration, the present invention features online/offline multimedia-data processing capabilities.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for hiding information in a communication protocol signal are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a bit selection unit, an information encoding unit and an information decoding unit, wherein the bit selection unit selects suitable bits in the signal for hiding information, the information encoding unit encodes the information into the suitable bits selected by the bit selection unit, and the information decoding unit decodes the information encoded in the suitable bits.
Abstract: The present invention provides a device for providing a user interface according to a markup-language (ML) document. A storage medium is provided in the device. The device is installed with an operating system, a first software and a second software. The operating system executes the first software, so that the first software provides a user interface according to a ML language, the user interface is used to generate a trigger to the first software. Based on the trigger, the first software then generates a request. The second software achieves communication with a remote computer based on the request so as to exchange multimedia data therebetween.
Abstract: A client/server multimedia system and method are disclosed. The client/server multimedia system and method comprise a remote control and a controlled computer. The controlled computer sends a multimedia data to the remote control according to the operations of the users sent from the remote control, and then the remote control plays the multimedia data or resends the multimedia data to a DVD player, a TV, or a computer, etc. Besides, the remote control may send the audio, the video, or e-mail of the users to the controlled computer, and then the controlled computer resends the audio, the video, or the e-mail of the users to a remote computer over the network.
