    Abstract: The quick connector for joining pipes having grooved ends has a circlip which normally is of a diameter greater than that of the associated pipe, and which is contracted and locked in the contracted condition, the inner diameter of the circlip at that time being less than the diameter of the pipe, and the outer diameter of the circlip at that time being greater than the diameter of the bore of the connector, the circlip when in a contracted position, locking the connector against removal from the pipe.
