  • Patent number: 4072232
Abstract: A package for shipping and dispensing articles, said packages having one substantially rectangular sleeve slidably disposed within another rectangular sleeve. The inner sleeve is structured to surround and hold a plurality of elongated articles, such as containers, which containers each have a tab at one end thereof with an opening therethrough for reception of an elongated element. With the outer sleeve removed from the inner sleeve, an end flap on the inner sleeve is bent away therefrom so that the elongated element can be inserted through the aligned openings in the tabs. One wall of the inner sleeve has a tear strip therein which can be removed so as to sever the inner sleeve, whereby the inner sleeve can be removed laterally away from the containers.

  • Patent number: 4002156
Abstract: There is herein disclosed an air gun having a breech block assembly, including a plurality of mating molded plastic members defining a guideway for a pivotally mounted projectile transfer member, movable during cocking of the gun from a firing position holding a projectile in alignment with the gun barrel to a loading position to receive another projectile and back to the firing position, with sealing means being provided to effect sealing engagement between the projectile transfer member and the molded plastic members of the breech block assembly in the firing position whereat the projectile is transferred from the projectile transfer member to a firing chamber provided in one of the molded plastic members by air pressure at the beginning of a firing cycle and held in the firing chamber in sealing engagement therewithin during an intermediate portion of the firing cycle and then discharged from the firing chamber through the gun barrel upon application of predetermined high pressure air toward the end of the

  • Patent number: 3993884
Abstract: Universal keyboard with individually removable switch modules each adapted particularly for use with a printed circuit switch, although also adapted to close or actuate other types of switch contacts, which has maximum reliability at minimum cost, satisfies the "best feel" tactile responses desired in a keyboard, while fully protecting the module components and the electrical conducting members against any excessive finger depression impact forces, assures uniformity of forces being applied to switch contacts regardless of variations in forces which may be applied to the key buttons or stems, reduces electric contact bounce, and maximizes the time the switch contacts are held closed during a key stroke.

  • Patent number: 3990171
Abstract: An artificial fish lure having a relatively flat and wide body portion with a downwardly projecting integral keel. Skirt means comprising a plurality of elongated narrow and flexible ribbons is secured to the upper part of said body portion and is capable of extending rearwardly or upwardly therefrom. Hook means is pivotally mounted upon the rearward end of said body portion for movement around a horizontal axis between a position extending rearwardly from the body portion and a position extending substantially directly upwardly from said body portion. A spinner in the form of a double bladed propeller is mounted upon the front end of the body portion adjacent line engaging means.

  • Patent number: 3981290
Abstract: An archery bow having a riser that is adapted to be grasped by an archer and which has a face and upper and lower, opposite end portions. The inboard ends of a pair of elongate spring members are mounted in cantilevered fashion from the face of the riser, one in association with each opposite end portion thereof. The medial portion of a limb member, in the fashion of a second degree lever, is pivotally mounted on the outboard end of each elongate spring member. A bow string extends between the outboard ends of the two limb members, and a cam follower is presented from the inboard end of each limb member to engage a corresponding cam secured to the face of the riser and which serves as a fulcrum against which the limb member acts to cock the spring member in response to the application of a drawing force to the bow string. The configuration of the cam determines the functional interrelation of the draw weight in response to the draw displacement of the bow string.

  • Patent number: 3949851
Abstract: A high speed serial printer having a platen or backing for print-receiving media and printing members for effecting display of indicia in printing lines on the media, including a print head having a printing end and selectively operable printing members; motion translation mechanism for oscillating the printing end of the print head laterally relative to the platen from a starting position for the length of a printing line and return to the starting position, which includes a pivot for the print head having an axis of rotation perpendicular to the plane of lateral movement of the print end, and drive mechanism for oscillating the print head about the pivot to minimize the force required to move the printing end of the print head, swinging of the print head on a pivot being materially more efficient than sliding the entire print head along a printing line.

  • Patent number: 3946438
Abstract: A magnetic card transport comprising the combination of a frame having curved guide path means for a card to insure effective but minimal reading pressure of card against a magnetic head (transducer) resulting only from flexure of the card by rigidly mounting the head on the convex or rear side of the frame, and novel card translating means including a self-pivoting drive shaft with a driven roller at one end and a curved card-driving roller at center carried by a bracket pivotally mounted on the frame for movements between inoperative and operative positions and having a pivotal half-bearing to insure angular movement of the shaft axis in response to forward or reverse rotation of the driven roller to maintain proper engagement of the card with the frame, and a stop to limit manual card insertion to a start position and movable to inoperative position as the shaft-supporting bracket is swung to its operative position to effect rotation of the driven roller.
