Abstract: A game table (20) includes a bed assembly (22) mounted on a frame (100) to rotate about its longitudinal, central axis. Table frame (100) is constructed from hollow side structures (102) each composed of a thin walled outer shell (106) joined together with a thin walled inner shell (108). Side structures (102) are transversely interconnected with hollow end structures (300) each composed of a thin walled outer shell (302) permanently joined with a thin walled inner shell (304). In addition to supporting bed assembly (22), side structures (102) include portions which serve as ball return runs (160) and (162) for directing balls dropping into corner and side pockets (30) and (32) into a storage compartment (165). Hollow leg body members (114), which depend downwardly from side structures (102), can be filled with ballast once table (20) has been assembled. The ballast can be removed when desired to transport table (20) to a new location.
Abstract: A golfing figure is shaped to resemble the stance of a human golfer when addressing a golf ball and is designed to duplicate an ideal golf swing. The golfing figure includes an upper body member which is joined with a lower body member to rotate about an axis extending generally along the length of the upper body member in the same manner in which the upper body of a golfer swings when hitting a ball. The upper and lower body members are interconnected by a torsion spring which automatically rotates the upper body member forwardly after it has been manually rearwardly rotated. The degree of relative rotation permissible between the upper and lower body members is limited to approximately the actual movement of the upper body of a golfer when hitting a golf ball. The torsion spring is mounted within mating upper and lower sockets contained at the juncture of the upper and lower body members.
Abstract: Pool table croquet game equipment is produced in several components, many of which are the same, for convenience of manufacture, assembly, use, and storage, to play a game on a pool table using pool cues and pool balls in a procedural way very similar to playing lawn croquet. The nine croquet like arches or hoops, through which the pool balls are shot, are equipped at their tops with integral dual direction hollow receivers and at their bottoms with snap on feet, adjustable if necessary for the vertical alignment of the arches or hoops. These nine croquet like arches or hoops are positioned about the pool table top in relative positions similar to the positions of the arches used in playing lawn croquet. To keep them firmly and accurately spaced, they are joined together by using various tubes which are provided in essentially two groups of like lengths. Each tube passes through at least one of the integral dual directional hollow receivers at the tops of the nine croquet like arches or hoops.
