Abstract: A tool for attaching and removing threaded fittings of the type typically used to attach hoses, such as hydraulic hoses, characterized by an extended longitudinal body which is open along a length of the body to accept a hose which has a fitting on it. An adaptor is mounted on an end of the body. The adaptor accepts and rotates a fastener which is part of the hose fitting, such as a six point fastener. The adaptor has an open portion to accept the hose. The opposite end of the body accepts a drive tool, such as a ratchet or a pneumatic wrench.

Abstract: A torque transfer device allows torque to be input at one point of the device and transferred to another point of the device, at which the power or torque is taken from the device. The device incorporates a continuous direct drive comprised of a plurality of individual, and unconnected, pins which advance each other to provide the drive. The pins have enlarged ends and reduced centers. The centers of the pins ride on a centrally disposed shedder which acts as a guide rail. The direct drive communicates with the drive sprockets, traveling through the drive sprockets to rotate the drive sprockets to transfer torque.

Abstract: A broaching cutter comprises a first shaft coupled to a cutter bit-carrying second shaft in such a way that the second shaft rotates when the first shaft rotates and is also radially displaceable with respect to the first shaft so that the second shaft revolves about the axis of the first shaft in a preselected pattern. A rotor on the end of the first shaft carries a connector in a slot in such a way that the connector is free to slide within the slot. The connector is attached to the second shaft and to a cam follower. As the connector slides, it displaces the second shaft radially with respect to the axis of rotation. The first shaft rotated within a stationary holder that has a cam race encircling the first shaft. The cam follower follows the cam race in the stationary holder, thereby varying the radial displacement of the connector. Thus, square, hexagonal or other shaped holes can be formed in a workpiece depending on the shape of the cam race.

Chain guides are present on the interior of the housing where the gear housings join the central housing.
