    Abstract: An interface for connects a mobile phone and a plain old telephone service (POTS) phone. The interface detects a ring tone from a speaker output of the mobile phone and in response places a POTS ring signal on a ring line of the POTS phone. Upon a change in state of a hook signal, a hook state detector places a predetermined signal on a microphone input of the mobile phone.
