Abstract: Identification code transmitting units are respectively installed in different guide areas and respectively transmit different identification codes. Each of plural portable terminal units includes a memory for storing plural pieces of guide information respectively associated with the different guide areas in any one of different languages, a receiver for receiving the identification code transmitted by any one of the transmitting units, a selector for selecting one of the plural pieces of guide information according to the received identification code, and a voice generator for generating a voice corresponding to the selected piece of guide information.
