Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a disease state of image elements are disclosed herein. An example method may include providing quantitative and non-quantitative images, determining a correspondence map of the quantitative images to an atlas, and determining candidate elements of the quantitative images by comparing the elements of the quantitative images to atlas elements of the atlas. The example method may also include localizing the candidate elements in the non-quantitative images, classifying the candidate elements based on properties of the non-quantitative images, and determining a disease state of the candidate elements.
Abstract: Methods, systems, products, devices, and/or apparatus generally related to distortion correction of multiple MRI images based on a full body reference image. An example method for distortion correction of multiple MRI images based on a full body reference image may include acquiring at least one reference image of a subject using a magnetic resonance imaging system, storing a correction field map based on the at least one reference image, the correction field map including information regarding a correction field for each of a plurality of portions of the subject, acquiring a plurality of images by the magnetic resonance imaging system, each of the plurality of images corresponding to a respective portion of the subject, and while acquiring each of the plurality of images, applying a correction field specified by the correction field map for the respective portion of the subject.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for diffusion weighted imaging using phantoms are disclosed herein. An example phantom may include a reference member disposed within a housing, the reference member having a rod-like shape extending parallel to a long axis of the housing, the reference member formed from a material comprising a plurality of microchannels arranged longitudinally along at least a portion of the rod-like shape, and at least a portion of the housing may be formed to emulate a shape of a human torso.
