Abstract: The identifier and position and/or location of at least one identification mark is identified by a first optical recording device that is designed so that spatial position and/or location of an identification mark can be detected by the first optical recording device. A second optical recording device is designed so that it can scan a plan projection of at least a part of the measurement volume of the first optical recording device in a spatially resolved manner. Transformation information allows the definition of a region of interest (ROI) in the spatially resolved information about the scanned projection. The ROI is searched for the presence and type of identifier information to determine the identifier of the detected identification mark.
