Patents Assigned to Vinghog AS
  • Patent number: 8333141
Abstract: A recoil absorbing assembly is provided for automatic weapons secured to a weapon cradle having a fixed portion and a portion movable longitudinally thereto, the fixed cradle portion being rotatably mounted to a support, including a recoil absorbing spring and friction device arranged in connection with the cradle portions. Further the friction device includes a main shaft provided with angled friction blocks and a movable bearing housing surrounding the main shaft and having free floating pistons as to cooperate with the friction blocks, the recoil absorbing spring being situated on the main shaft in elongation of the bearing housing.

  • Patent number: 6431045
Abstract: A device is disclosed for a weapon for firing burst of several shots. The device unlocks and latches the rifle bolt in the rear position to avoid heat distribution from the chamber or barrel to the powder or explosives in the booster charge or the explosive projectile, and to prevent firing by emptying or handling the weapon. The activator moves the trigger into engagement with the stop flap of the rifle bolt, thereby releasing the spring force of the rifle bolt forwardly during firing only when the rifle bolt and the cover are in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 5354024
Abstract: Tripod for firearms, comprising a pivot support (1) having a vertical axis, to the flanges (5,6,7) of which are secured telescopical, adjustable legs (2,3,4), the first flange axis being horizontal enabling the leg (5) to be turned a vertical plane, the second (6) and third (7) flange axis being symmetrical to a vertical plane through the first leg and in a ground view, a front view and a side view being arranged in acute angles to the first leg axis, turning of second and third legs (6,7) thereby amending the angles of those legs in the ground view in relation to the plan of the first leg (2), all legs having the same length. With a fourth, shorter leg (8) on the first leg the distance between the pivot support axis and the first leg's resting point on the surface may be decreased substantially when second (6) and third (7) legs being adjusted in a small acute angle for shooting at ground level in a direction substantially in the longitudinal axis of the first leg ( 2).

  • Patent number: 5159148
Abstract: The invention relates to a recoil suppressing mount for an automatic weapon. The mount consists of a cradle assembly supported by a pin assembly to a fork means. There are also provided shock absorber means connecting the inner cradle relative to the outer cradle. The pin and shock absorbers are arranged so that the recoil forces from the weapon are substantially suppressed to prevent the transfer of moment forces from the weapon to the outer cradle to maintain the weapon in the sight line during firing.
