Abstract: The present invention provides an improved file system format for an optical disc to help prevent illegal copying of multimedia content, where certain non-readable data record is placed into increased measured length of a multimedia data block; disc made pursuant to present format allows normal playback with very low level noise that would not affect the user enjoyment of viewing/listening the movie or music content on the multimedia disc.
Abstract: The method adapted for a disc burner for sensing/computing the maximum allowable capacity of a disc for overburn purpose where an accurate capacity of the disc based on the outermost-edge wobble signal is obtained, resulting in more data written on the disc with an amount of the data smaller than the physically-recordable maximum capacity of the disc and decreasing the failure rate of data overburning.
Abstract: The present invention relates to design and construction of a mini and compact optical disc autoloader. By way of a flip-flop device positioned and pivoted between two disc trays, the robotic arm movement is simplified to a one-dimensional linear fashion and greatly reduces the cost of production and also cost of maintenance. The present invention also allows for multiple write drives to be easily built into present invention, creating an efficient duplicating system. It can be used for the home and small business environment for small volume optical duplication, storage and management.
Abstract: An autoloader system with modularization architecture and self-adaptive motion control ability for mass optical disks duplication includes four physical modules: a robot arm module with sensors and joints dedicates for delivering and picking up optical disks; an optical disk duplication tower has a number of optical drives in a stack, or a matrix for optical disk duplication; a motion control module has an embedded motion controller and a power source to synchronize the motion of robot arm and duplication; a platform module has a base frame to fix other modules and a user interface. Some disk stacks are situated on top of platform module. The use of a self-adaptive control algorithm, consisting of a Motion Strategy Database, Initial Process, Motion Planning Process, Motion Generation Process and Motion Monitor Process, to ascertain system configurations and components furthest satisfy the required flexibility for modifying/upgrading hardware or ever-changing user needs.
