  • Patent number: 11816002
Abstract: After a data backup unit connects to a mobile device, an App executed on the mobile device will create a user profile block in the memory unit of the data backup unit, help set up charging preferences and backup preferences in the profile block, and create a backup folder to store backup files from the mobile device. The App estimates a charging time required to charge the battery, a backup time required to complete the data backup and an available time interval, then the App sums up the charging time and the backup time to get a required time interval. Then, the App compares the required time interval and the available time interval to decide whether to perform both the backup task and the charging task or to perform just the charging task.

  • Patent number: 11755423
Abstract: A data protection method for protecting backup data stored in a data backup device is executed by a mobile device. When the mobile device is included in a trust circle of the data backup device, the mobile device can receive a certified signal, can execute a file manager of a backup APP for loading the backup data, and can generate a first invitation code. Otherwise, the mobile device cannot access the backup data, and displays a code input menu for inputting a second invitation code. The data backup device can certify the first invitation code and the second invitation code for determining whether the mobile device can be added into the trust circle of the data backup device. Therefore, the mobile device included in the trust circle can access the backup data, and the privacy of the backup data can be secured.

  • Patent number: 9105275
Abstract: The method adapted for a disc burner for sensing/computing the maximum allowable capacity of a disc for overburn purpose where an accurate capacity of the disc based on the outermost-edge wobble signal is obtained, resulting in more data written on the disc with an amount of the data smaller than the physically-recordable maximum capacity of the disc and decreasing the failure rate of data overburning.

  • Patent number: 8510525
Abstract: A method of duplicating data to multiple random accessible storage devices has steps of reading one segment of source data having multiple segments, continuously detecting newly-connected random accessible storage devices, duplicating same segments to all connected random accessible storage devices, stopping duplicating the source data to any random accessible storage device that has stored all segments of the source data and repeating the steps from the beginning. When duplicating the source data to all connected random accessible storage devices, same segments of the source data are written to all connected random accessible storage devices. Therefore, a single writing task is proceeded in each writing session. The source data can be written to all random accessible storage devices at high speed. Consequently, efficiency of asynchronously duplicating data to multiple random accessible storage devices is increased.

  • Patent number: 8085625
Abstract: A burner system capable of inverting an optical disc has a control module, a burning module, a mechanical arm and an inverter. The control module controls the mechanical arm to grab the optical disc from a burner in the burning module and release the optical disc into the inverter. The optical disc passes through the inverter due to gravity, one side of the optical disc is tilted by the inverter so the optical disc is inverted. Therefore, the burner system automatically inverts the optical disc for double-sided data processing.

  • Patent number: 8036084
Abstract: A standalone duplication system with network connection has a casing, multiple recording devices, a control module, a bridge unit, a storage device and a network module, wherein the bridge unit connects between the control module, the storage device and the network module. When the bridge unit confirms that the control module has disconnected from the storage device and the network module receives a data transfer command, the storage device can receive data via the network module and store data for duplication. Therefore, the standalone duplication system is capable of receiving data from different computers over a network without using a high-end central processing unit (CPU). The standalone duplication system need not be moved to different places and connected to and disconnected from different personal computers again and again. Users operate their own personal computers to send required data to the standalone duplication system via the network.

  • Publication number: 20110019523
Abstract: An integrated standalone optical disc duplication and labeling system has an optical disc drive, a main controller and a command module. The optical disc drive is capable of containing an optical disc and performing either a duplication capability or a labeling capability. The main controller is connected to and operates the optical disc drive. The command module is connected to the main controller and is capable of transmitting either a duplication designating command or a labeling designating command to the main controller. The duplication designating command is used to designate the optical disc drive to perform the duplication capability. The labeling designating command is used to designate the optical disc drive to perform the labeling capability. A user acquires a single standalone system that is able to perform both duplication and labeling.
