Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to providing notifications when a user selects an advertisement. The advertisements can be displayed in an interface such as a webpage that provides password management. The advertisements can be related to goods or services provided by an entity that sponsors the webpage. When the user selects an advertisement, one or more notifications can be generated and sent to the entity and/or the user. These notifications can be used to increase the likelihood that the user will purchase the goods or services advertised, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of an advertisement. The present invention also extends to rotating the source of advertisements that are displayed in a webpage. The present invention further extends to verifying user credentials that are provided for logging in to a website, and automatically logging a user out of a website once the user credentials have been verified.
