Abstract: A device for monitoring an installation comprising means for issuing a cue to the environment of a camera indicating that the camera is passing from a state in which it is not capable of picking up images to a state in which it is capable of picking up images, or is indeed picking them up, and vice versa. The cue is issued in at least one of the following two forms: a movement of a mask suitable for covering a lens of the camera; and a sound signal.
