Abstract: A method for making a tubular element, in particular a motor vehicle front cross member (1), for forming at least an air conduit (2,3,4) including at least two half-shells (5,6) assembled on two outer longitudinal edges (5a, 6a–5b, 6b), facing each other, with punctiform mechanical bond elements (7). The method further comprises the production of sealing elements (8) for the tubular element (1) consisting of at least a continuous convex or concave deformation simultaneously produced on each of the outer longitudinal edges (5a, 6a–5b, 6b) facing the two half-shells (5 and 6), in the proximity of the mechanical bond elements (7).

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for making a dashboard subassembly comprising electrical and/or electronic components (1) connected to conductors (2) and attached to a rigid support (3). The invention is characterized in that it consists in: providing a flexible mat (4) provided with said conductors (2); mounting said components (1) on said mat (4), connected to said electrical conductors (2); rigidizing said mat (4) by overmoulding it with a material designed to form said support (3). The invention also concerns a dashboard subassembly, in particular a motor vehicle dashboard console, obtained by said method.

Abstract: An outer covering for the inside panel of a vehicle, whereby said panel includes a device for the accommodation and deployment of a safety air cushion, comprising the following: a support which includes a device for the accommodation and deployment of a safety air cushion; an inner layer consisting of a thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer foam material covering said support and fixed thereto; an outer covering or skin made from a thermoplastic polymer material covering the inner layer and fixed thereto. The inventive covering is characterized in that it does not have any incipient ruptures on the part of the panel which is used to accommodate and deploy the safety air cushion; it is made of a thermoplastic polymer material in the form of a powder by means of a free flow and means of molding in a hot mold; the chemical composition is indicated for the entire panel and is obtained from a thermoplastic elastomer composition.

Abstract: A sealing device between an element (1) partitioning two separate zones (A, B) and a specific fitting (2) set in front of an opening (3) provided in the partition (1) against one of its faces housing a soundproof lining (4) so as to allow communication between zones (A, B) through the fitting (2) via a sealing joint. Abstract: An arrangement of equipment for a motor vehicle provided with at least one reserved space consisting of one or several side walls which are located between an opposing bottom and an opening. The reserved space in the arrangement accommodates a plurality of equipment elements respectively including at least one frame. The elements have dimensions that are equal to or multiples of a base and which fit into each other and/or do so against the side walls of the reserved space as a result of cooperation which occurs between first and second fastening devices which are provided on the frame of the elements and on the walls of the reserved space. The fixing devices are distributed in a regular manner according to the dimensions of the base.

Abstract: A decorative component for use as a piece of trim of a vehicle having a sheet of material with a stiffening element affixed thereto. The sheet of material has an aspect conferring face on one face thereof. The stiffening element fixes the shape of the sheet of material relative to a desired shape of the decorative component. The stiffening element is a bead affixed to at least a portion of the periphery of the sheet of material. The bead can be wither continuous or discontinuous along the periphery.

Abstract: An air bag apparatus for a vehicle having an air bag, a panel with a trap formed therein, a support rib extending over a length of the trap, and a connecting member secured to the trap and to the support rib so as to retain the trap when the trap opens. The trap opens completely when the air bag expands in a direction of expansion. The support rib is oriented in the direction of expansion and is secured to the vehicle. The trap and the connecting member are separate pieces. The support rib has a rigid side adjacent an upper edge of the trap.

Abstract: A decorative component (1), in particular designed to constitute a piece of internal trim of a vehicle, including at least a sheet of material (2) provided with stiffening means (3) and having, at least locally, on at least one of its faces, referred to as an aspect conferring face (4), an aesthetic and comfortable aspect. According to the method, the stiffening means (3) include a bead (5) of material, whether continuous or discontinuous, provided on a part at least of the periphery of the sheet (2) to fix its shape according to the shape desired for the component. The method also relates to manufacturing such a decorative component and to a use thereof, as well as to a process for manufacturing a piece of internal trim of a vehicle, for example a door panel, using the decorative component.

This powder composition is suitable for the production of flexible coatings by its free flow over a hot mold.
