  • Patent number: 4963962
Abstract: A covert surveillance camera assembly comprises a dummy sprinkler head for camouflaging a camera. The sprinkler head has a pair of parallel arms and a mirror is mounted in a predetermined position relative to the camera and between the arms of the sprinkler head. An associated mechanism for scanning an object area may include a rotating component for turning the mirror at a predetermined angular speed in a first direction about an optical axis of the optical device. A dovetail prism is provided for stabilizing an image transmitted from an outlet end of the surveillance assembly, the prism being rotated at one half the angular speed of the rotating mirror in a second direction about the optical device's axis opposite to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 4222662
Abstract: A photo I.D. card having the photograph, and/or signature, and/or coded indicia of an authorized holder which is visible under ordinary room illumination also carries a second photograph of the user. The second photograph is in the form of a transparency which is sandwiched between a piece of retroreflective material and an optical filter which is opaque to light of normal intensity and wavelength but which is transparent to infra-red or ultra-violet radiation. Also disclosed is apparatus for reading both the visible and invisible photographs, signature, and data on the card by means of a CCTV system. Any attempt to alter or forge the I.D. card can, thus, be readily detected.

  • Patent number: 3997723
Abstract: A thin wall-mountable unit is disclosed which produces a composite image from a card-like object placed in a slot and a person standing adjacent thereto. The unit includes a pair of lenses for focusing images of the objects on intersecting focal planes. A mirror is mounted in the unit at the intersection of the focal planes. A T.V. camera is employed to sense the composite image resulting therefrom.
