Patents Assigned to Vitalis Extraction Technology Inc.
  • Patent number: 12097537
Abstract: A solvent containment and solvent handling process interlocking system is described that can be used as a ventilation and spill management system for the storage and use of hazardous and volatile chemicals and solvents in an ordinary or non-hazardous location. The vented solvent containment system has a containment tray for secondary solvent containment and air regulatory to supply negative air pressure to draw in any evaporated solvent from the containment tray to a safe exhaust location. A safety sensor in the solvent containment system is interlocked with the solvent handling and solvent control system to slow or stop solvent flow in the event of a potentially hazardous solvent leak.

  • Patent number: 11806640
Abstract: Method and system for the extraction of oils from a biomass with a liquid carbon dioxide using cosolvent. The system and method can be used to extract cannabinoids from Cannabis biomass by cryogenically freezing the biomass and exposing the Cannabis biomass to sub-cooled liquid carbon dioxide and capturing a first high-terpene extract fraction, and then exposing the Cannabis biomass with a mixture of superfluid carbon dioxide and a cosolvent to capture a high cannabinoid second fraction.

  • Patent number: 10143937
Abstract: A cyclone separator for a superfluid extraction apparatus comprising a cyclone inlet weldment comprising a cyclone, a collector tube connected to the cyclone inlet weldment, and a needle support manifold extending from the cyclone inlet weldment comprising a fluid flow directing needle, the needle having a relief cut to control fluid flow into the separator. A supercritical fluid pump is described having a piston assembly with a hydraulic cylinder and a cylindrical integral check valve piston with at least two circumferential seals to seal the piston against the barrel insert and a check assembly extending axially through one end of the integral check valve piston and between the at least two circumferential seals to relieve excess pressure.
