  • Patent number: 6557939
Abstract: The adjustment mechanism contains a pneumatic spring that is placed vertically in the underframe, for adjusting height, and a pneumatic spring that is linked to the seat support at one end and the back-rest at the other, for synchronized adjustment of the angle. The pivotable back-rest and the fixed seat support are coupled with each other on the main rotational axis in two hinge connections. The main rotational axis runs above and crosswise over the seat plate. The seat plate has guide cranks on its underside, the supporting arms of the seat support engaging is said guide cranks in such a way that they can slide crosswise to the main rotational axis. The front bearing pegs of the supporting arms engage in the guide cranks. The seat plate is coupled together with the inclination spring on the moving rotational axis on the back-rest. The invention also relates to a back cover with a variably positionable lumbar reinforcement insert and height-adjustable armrests.

  • Patent number: 6439661
Abstract: The chair mechanism is configured as a so-called synchronizing mechanism in order, in the case of an adjustment in inclination of the rear support (4), to achieve simultaneous, harmonic adjustment of the seat panel (8). The underframe is positioned on a height-adjustable pneumatic spring (13,14). For the synchronized movement, use is made of a mechanical torsion spring, preferably a rubber spring, and a further mechanical spring, preferably a helical spring, is arranged parallel thereto, with accumulative effect in relation to the resistance of the torsion spring. The strength of the torsion spring can be adjusted. The positioning of the axes of rotation (A1-A4) is of considerable importance for the kinematics. The chair can be adjusted from an assembly position, where the springs can be inserted in a state in which they are relieved of stressing, via the vertical position into the inclined position.

  • Publication number: 20020095890
Abstract: The wall rack which is designed for an office workstation, in particular a PC workstation, in a freestanding mobile embodiment or with fixed installation comprises essentially an upright base frame (1,10,10′) onto which a front panel (2,2′) is fitted on each side. The shelves (7,8) of various shapes and dimensions in the form of storage shelves (7) or work surfaces (8) which can withstand larger loads can be arranged and rearranged at selected heights on one or both front panels (2,2′). Through a subdivided opening (20) in the front panels (2,2′), which can be manually accessed by means of flaps (4) which can be pivoted upward, it is possible to access an electric socket unit for supplying power and/or for connecting communication leads for the equipment positioned in front of the wall rack.

  • Publication number: 20020047298
Abstract: The seat has a seat plate which, in principle, is arranged horizontally and has an upper part (2) and a lower part (3) consisting of molded plywood which is glued together in layers, and are joined together lying one above the other. Legs (5,5′;6,6′) which have extensions (50,50′;60,60′) at the top protrude to the floor. Grooves (20) are incorporated by cutting on the lower side of the upper part (2) that faces the lower part (3), while grooves (30) are integrally formed without cutting on the upper side of the lower part (3) that faces the upper part (2). The extensions (50,50′;60,60′) of the legs (5,5′;6,6′) are fitted in the grooves (20,30) between the parts (2,3) of the seat plate. A production method for the seats is specified and, furthermore, a row connector which is particularly suitable for the seats here is proposed.

  • Publication number: 20020043846
Abstract: The mounting for a seat (3) is suitable, in particular, for a chair, but also for stools, individual seats (3) on a bench or fixed seats (3). The mounting makes it possible for the seat (3) to swing resiliently in all directions or in defined directions, in accordance with changes in the user's posture. The seat (3) rests on an underframe on which a spring element (4) is arranged, said spring element being restrained in a casing (5,6) and being capable of moving elastically, in a horizontal plane, therein. The casing (5,6) is connected to the seat (3) or forms a part thereof. The spring element (4) is preferably arranged at the top of an axially extensible push rod of a pneumatic spring (2). The outer sleeve (43) of the spring element (4) is a rubber body, while the axial through-passage (45) of the spring element (4) has a preferably metallic core (44) around it. The specific advantages of the mounting result in improved seating comfort.

  • Patent number: 6272795
Abstract: Movable office furniture consisting of the following system components: a travelling table (1), a filing trolley (1) a cupboard, an equipment box and a shelf partition (7). Said office furniture can be used in permanent company offices, at exhibitions, conferences or in the home. The tables have no cross tie-bars close to the ground between legs. At least one interchangeable box (100) can be inserted into the various types of trolleys (4). Many of such boxes can be inserted into cupboards. Shelves can be installed on shelf partitions (7) and office equipment and stationery can be stored thereon. Shelf partitions (7) can be placed back to back to form a double wall in a room and have the advantage of being produced from sound absorbing material. The office furniture can be spontaneously rearranged and several components of the system are interslidable in order to gain space.
