  • Patent number: 7607244
Abstract: A snow-plowing apparatus provided with a snow-removing member detachably attached to an end of a holding rod of a hand-pushed mower, in which an engine and a wheel are attached to a frame, having a detachable rotation transmitting portion, to which a mowing blade is attached and rotational driving force of an engine is transmitted, on the end of the holding rod extending from the engine forward and downward. The snow-removing member is provided with a snowplow rotating body rotated around a horizontal axis through the rotation transmitting portion to plow and shoot the snow. The snowplow rotating body is composed of three short rotating bodies. Each of the short rotating bodies has four snow-plowing blades disposed in peripheral direction with a predetermined pitch. And, the snowplow rotating body is composed of the three short rotating bodies mounted on a shaft body as the snow-plowing blades are dislocated one another in the peripheral direction.

  • Patent number: 7222476
Abstract: A hand-pushed mower of which blade height setter is provided with a sphere rolling on the ground, many small spheres holding the sphere as to freely roll, a semi-spherical receiving member forming a gap between an upper spherical face of the sphere to hold the many small spheres in the gap, and a scraping ring frame portion disposed to be parallel to and having a predetermined interval with a lower end edge of the semi-spherical receiving member. The scraping ring frame portion is disposed to be near the surface of the sphere as to scrape foreign matter on the surface of the sphere. A window portion for removing the foreign matter is formed between the lower end edge of the semi-spherical receiving member and the scraping ring frame portion.

  • Patent number: 6217810
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a gear case comprising two support cylinders inclined relative to each other, a movable mold is arranged to be movable between an open position and a closed position in which a cavity for molding the gear case is defined between fixed and movable molds. First and third slide cores each having a protrusion are slidably supported by the movable core such that when the movable mold is moved to the closed position, the protrusions of the first and third slide cores are inserted into the cavity. Before closing the mold, first and second case-mounting surfaces are formed on the protrusion of the first slide core, axially spaced from each other, and a third case-mounting surface is formed on the protrusion of the third slide core. With a bearing case fitted on each case-mounting surface, the mold is closed and a molten resin is injected under pressure into the space between the protrusions of the first and third slide cores and the inner wall of the cavity to form the gear case.

  • Patent number: 5197351
Abstract: A cam shaft having a shaft member made of steel and having on the outer periphery thereof an axial groove, and a cam and a gear made of a sintered alloy and mounted on the shaft member by engaging a protrusion on a shaft holeel formed in each of the cams and the gear in the axial groove. The shaft member is provided with plating layers of copper on the outer periphery thereof at portions where the gear and the cam are to be mounted. The gear and the cam are impregnated with copper the same as the plating layer. The contact portions are heated by a laser to fuse the copper to join the cam and the gear to the shaft member.

  • Patent number: 4925322
Abstract: A ball bearing having an inner ring, a pair of outer rings, balls interposed therebetween, and a retainer for keeping the balls spaced apart from one another. The outer rings each have a straight portion and an arcuate portion integral with the straight portion. The outer rings have their opposite end faces butting together. The arcuate portion has such a curvature as to conform to the contour of the balls. To the arcuate portion of each outer ring is attached a seal member made of a resilient material and integrally formed over its entire peripheral length with lip portions kept in sealing contact with the inner ring.

  • Patent number: 4917529
Abstract: An arrangement for coupling a rotary member such as a pulley of V-belt or flat belt to a rotary shaft. A boss is mounted on the rotary shaft so that the rotary shaft will have its one end protruding from the boss. The protruding end is passed through a center hole in the rotary member. A nut is tightened on the end of the rotary shaft protruding from the center hole to tighten the rotary member and the boss and thus couple them together. A plurality of projections are formed on one of the rotary member and the boss and a plurality of cutouts or holes are provided in the other. The projections are inserted in the cutouts or holes to couple the rotary member and the boss together.

  • Patent number: 4826346
Abstract: A camshaft for an internal combustion engine comprising a metal cam, a shaft inserted into a through hole formed in the cam and resin poured between the cam and the shaft to join them. The cam is formed with plural grooves which are formed in the inner periphery of the hole in parallel with the shaft and into which the resin is poured. The groove is formed fanwise so that a sectional shape of the groove is wider as it approaches the outer periphery of the cam. Thus, when the resin which is filled into the grooves at high temperature is cooled naturally and contracts, since the resin bites the cam, gap and failure of contact are not produced between the cam receiving rotational force and the resin when the camshaft is operated for the internal combustion engine.
