  • Patent number: 8355712
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling remotely a mobile terminal (30). The method envisages providing a command (COM) to be sent from a remote server (2) to the mobile terminal (30), and a voice signal (V) to be transmitted from a remote server (20) to the mobile terminal (30). The voice signal (V) is encoded in a voice data packet flow (VOICE_FLOW) and the command (COM) in command data packets (COMk) so as to generate a packet data flow (DATA_FLOW) comprising the voice data packet flow (VOICE_FLOW) and the command data packets (COMk). This packet data flow (DATA_FLOW) is thus sent from the remote server (20) to the mobile terminal (30).

  • Publication number: 20120232833
Abstract: A method and a system for monitoring a thin structure foresee acquiring the acceleration signals emitted by a plurality of accelerometers associated with the structure, obtaining the frequency spectrum of such signals, detecting their frequency peaks and temporal variations to calculate, for each of the frequency peaks, an average value and a statistical value that define a range of frequency values. Subsequently, at predetermined time periods, the frequency peaks are detected and, with respect to each average value, it is verified whether the corresponding peak frequency is outside of the respective range of frequency values and an error signal is generated as a function of such verification. In this case, the error signal and the processed signals of the accelerometers are sent to a remote unit where the signals are analysed to determine the state of the structure and its past data and to evaluate whether it is necessary for it to have technical personnel intervention.

  • Patent number: 8208915
Abstract: A method for controlling the operation of the cells of a cellular communication system comprising the steps of displaying a cartographic map (2) of a geographic area (3) comprising base transceiver stations (BTSn), each intended to serve one or more cells (Cnj) with respective service areas (MAPnj), associating a pair of Cartesian coordinates (Xn,Yn) and a graphical element (In) to each base transceiver station (BTSn), displaying such graphic element (In), selecting a base transceiver station (BTS), determining, for at least one of the cells, the amount (NUM) of traffic generated by mobile terminals (MS) registered by the selected base transceiver station (BTS) so as to obtain the real traffic distribution (NUM1, NUM2, NUM3, . . . NUMm) of the cell, representing on the cartographic map (2) the real traffic distribution (NUM1, NUM2, NUM3, . . . NUMm), and comparing it with the service area (MAP) of the cell (C).

  • Patent number: 8121631
Abstract: A method for calculating a RoT threshold value in a communication system in which user terminals communicate with a base transceiver station, comprising the steps of providing a RoT minimum, maximum and margin, acquiring the maximum nominal transmit power of each user terminal, detecting the transmitted power of each user terminal, calculating the power difference between the maximum nominal transmit power and the transmitted power for each user terminal, and processing this power difference calculated for each user terminal, the RoT margin and the minimum and maximum RoT threshold to calculate the RoT threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20100214933
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and an apparatus for detecting vocal data flow in a packet data flow characterised by at least two measurable variables (X5Y). A distribution function (P{x 1 C}, P{y I C}) is provided of the values of each variable (X5Y) in a vocal data flow, and the values (x,y) of each variable (X,Y) are measured in order to obtain a sequence of measured values (x(k), y(k)) on a number (k) of blocks. Each measured value (x(k), y(k)) is therefore applied to the respective distributiion function (P{x 1 C}, P{yI C}) in order to generate a sequence of likelihood values Formula (I) from which respective average likelihood values (E [Bx],E[By]) are generated. The average values are processed in order to generate a reference likelihood value (B) which, when compared with a threshold likelihood value (Bmin) enables the presence of vocal data flow in a packet data flow to be detected.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for terminating a call coming from a calling party (A) and directed to a fixed network number being called, associated with a telecommunications network (1) comprising a mobile network (2). The method includes the steps of receiving the call at an access node to the telecommunications network (1), obtaining one or more mobile network numbers belonging to the mobile network (2) and associated with the fixed network number being called, and terminating the call to such mobile network numbers. Termination is based on the geographic location of the mobile terminals of the mobile network.
