    Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating solid and/or liquid particles and/or polluting gas from a gas stream includes two component nozzles by which a washing liquid is finely distributed in a gaseous phase and introduced in the gas stream within a gas washer. The two-component nozzles are distributed over the whole cross section of the washer, preferably on a plane that extends perpendicularly to the gas flow direction.
