  • Patent number: 10954882
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has a cylinder head having an integrated exhaust manifold having exhaust ducts connected to a secondary air system's distributor block via its supply ducts for supplying ambient air through an inlet as secondary air into the exhaust manifold. Each supply duct having a valve assembly having a closure flap pivotable about a pivot axis at a distance from its the center of mass. The closure flap closing due to the influence of gravity when there is no pressure difference between the exhaust manifold and the secondary air system and opening automatically due to a relative overpressure in the gas pressure on the side of the secondary air system in relation to the gas pressure on the side of the exhaust manifold.

  • Patent number: 10947893
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for an air inlet flow section of a compressor wheel of a turbocharger. The adjustment mechanism defines a variable inlet diameter for an axial air flow to the compressor wheel. The adjustment mechanism has a unison ring and a plurality of vanes. An actuator is used for providing a first pivoting motion to the unison ring about a central axis and thereby providing a second pivoting motion to the plurality of vanes. At least one elastic biaser is arranged, such that it provides, upon the pivoting motion to the unison ring, a restoring force to the unison ring and/or the plurality of vanes. The pivoting motion of the vanes adjusts the inlet diameter of the axial air flow to the compressor wheel.

  • Publication number: 20210070358
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for improving hands-off recognition in a vehicle with steering torque-based recognition in that swarm data are provided from vehicles that recognize hands-off situations with hand distance sensors in the steering wheel. Both recognition results over a certain route section are compared and, in the case of deviations, the correctness of the results of the hand distance sensors is assumed. On this basis, route sections are determined in which steering torque-based recognition is unreliable. Based on this recognition, systems with steering torque evaluation can then be re-parameterized in order to be more reliable relative to the route.
