  • Patent number: 10437376
Abstract: User interfaces and processes to support a user during the operation of a touch-sensitive control unit. A presence of an input means, such as a finger of the user, is detected in a predefined first area in front of a button displayed on the control unit. In response to the detection a timer is started having a predetermined time segment. When the timer elapses, a secondary function in the control unit is executed relative to the button in which the input means is detected.

  • Publication number: 20190301329
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regenerating a particulate filter in the exhaust gas channel of a motor vehicle with a hybrid drive consisting of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine. In this context, the internal combustion engine is lugged by the electric motor in order to regenerate the particulate filter. The internal combustion engine transports oxygen-rich air into the exhaust gas channel, a process in which the soot retained in the particulate filter is oxidized by the oxygen and the particulate filter can thus be regenerated. In this process, during the regeneration of the particulate filter, the quantity of air is controlled by a throttle valve in the air supply means of the internal combustion engine in order to allow the particulate filter to be regenerated as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for calibrating a camera system of a motor vehicle, the calibration parameters comprising the rotation angle, pitch angle, yaw angle and roll angle as well as the height of the camera above the road, the rotation angle is determined from the ascertainment of the vanishing point from a first optical flow between a first and a second successive camera image, and the height of the camera is determined from a second optical flow between a first and a second, successive camera image. To determine the first optical flow, a regular grid is placed over the first camera image, correspondences of the regular grid are searched for in the second camera image, and the first optical flow is determined from the movement of the grid over the camera images.

  • Publication number: 20190271551
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for recording landmarks in a traffic environment of a mobile unit, in which data sets are recorded by a laser scanner, wherein the data sets comprise data points. Data points from a certain number of data sets are saved as output data and, based on the output data, segments are determined by means of segmentation, wherein data points are assigned to each of the segments. For each of the determined segments, landmark parameters of the respective segment are determined by means of a principle component analysis and an object class is assigned to the segments based on the landmark parameters respectively determined for them. Landmark observations are determined, wherein landmark parameters and an object class are assigned to each landmark observation, and the landmark observations are output. The invention relates further to a system for recording landmarks in a traffic environment of a mobile unit.
