Abstract: A system for internet-based procurement of non-cataloged goods and services based upon qualified resumes includes a human resources procurement server, an associate vendor terminal, and a hiring manager terminal. The associate vendor terminal is connected to the human resources procurement server. The hiring manager terminal is connected to the human resources procurement server. The human resources procurement server receives at least one job request from the hiring manager terminal. The human resources procurement server also receives at least one qualified resume from the associate vendor terminal and forwards the qualified resume to the hiring manager terminal for review.

Vendors and buyers enter the vendor qualification information and vendor criteria information, respectively, into a database in a hierarchical and relational manner. The computer system compares entered vendor qualification information to stored vendor criteria information to pre-qualify vendors for buyers and/or industries. The computer system further monitors the stored vendor qualification information and requests updated vendor qualification information from the vendors to maintain vendor qualification on a per industry and/or per buyer basis.

Transactional data related to the bid and project are entered into the computer system through an on-line bid, project requisition and payment process. Abstract: A comprehensive, web-enabled computer system and method is provided for facilitating and managing all aspects of project work, while synchronizing communications, data and transaction processing across multiple user platforms. To implement the computer system and method, a bid item list is utilized to create configurable and scalable customized bid templates premised on the specific type of project work required. Bid requests are generated from the customized bid templates for solicitation of vendor bid responses to the selected bid items provided by the bid template. One or more bid items within the vendor bid responses can be selected for vendor grading purposes, and comparison of the vendor bid responses can be conducted using the graded bid item responses. In addition, project tracking parameters can be entered into the computer system for tracking the performance of the project.

Abstract: A telecommunications system includes a front end automation system, an operator services switch, an automated operator, and an automation data server. The front end automation system interacts with a caller in order to recognize a request of the caller and determine a response to the request. The operator services switch, which is inter-operably coupled to the front end automation system, receives a call from the front end automation system, after the front end automation system has recognized the request and has determined the response to the request, and creates billing information relative to the call. The automation data server, which is inter-operably coupled to the front end automation system, passes information about the request and the response from the front end automation system to the automated operator. The automated operator, which is inter-operably coupled to the operator services switch, provides the response to the request to the caller.

Abstract: A method for controlling work on a job in a system for producing a plurality of jobs, each of which includes at least one piece of work, each piece of work requiring at least one operation to be performed, the system having several types of stations at which the operations are performed has the following steps. It first accepts into the system a set of job requirements for a job, the set of job requirements including requirements for each of the constituent pieces of work of the job. The method then creates an electronic image of the requirements for each piece of work, the image having a unique image identifier. Next, a set of control information for each piece of work is maintained that includes the unique image identifier and a unique identifier for the pieces of work.

Abstract: A plurality of halftone screen density data structures utilizing halftone dot patterns which arrays the halftone dots at preselected screen angles and at a preselected distance to create a screened halftone separation. By arraying the halftone dots at preselected screen angles, the human eye is confused into perceiving continuous patterns and is less likely to perceive any Moire pattern than when using conventional methods. The data structures are created by arranging for every halftone dot in at least one halftone dot pattern of the data structures to be surrounded by a plurality of dots having their dot centers at preselected screen angles and at a preselected distance from the dot center of the center halftone dot. The halftone dots are superimposed over a plurality of bits arranged as a bit map which is representative of a pixel format utilized to produce screens wherein each bit in the bit map is assigned a value in a predetermined fashion.
