Patents Assigned to Volumatic Limited
  • Patent number: 8434673
Abstract: An apparatus for storage and transport of documents such as bank notes, visa slips, gift tokens, checks and the like is disclosed. • Patent number: 7909198
Abstract: A tamper-evident enclosure for the storage and transport of bank notes comprises a frame spanned by a membrane of elasticated material. The frame is located in the top of an open-topped container and bank notes are pushed through the frame, deflecting flaps, until the membrane is fully distended. A cover plate is then slid through channels on opposite sides of the frame to close the “bag”. When the “bag” is fully closed a tongue at the leading end of the cover plate enters a hollow formation at the trailing end of the frame. Either the tongue has fins which dig into the interior of the hollow formation, or the channels and opposite sides of the cover plate have saw-tooth formations permitting movement of the cover plate only in one direction. By either arrangement the cover plate can only be removed from the frame by first breaking off the tongue and bending down the hollow formation.

  • Patent number: 7175067
Abstract: The application is directed to a safety device for a bank note storage apparatus. If banknotes are not place properly in the compartment of the tray but overlie a flange of the safety device as the tray is pushed into the slot and flange will jam between pegs and, causing a body to move back against a spring and a latch to extend downward from the tray. The latch will prevent movement of the tray fully into the enclosure. The user must remove the obstruction before the tray can be moved fully into the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 7059599
Abstract: Bank notes placed in a tray (13) are slid into an enclosure (10), whereupon a lever (15) is operated to drive down a plunger (17) which opens flaps (21,22) in the bottom of the tray to displace the notes into a carrier (12) in a lower part of the enclosure. The carrier (12) has snap-fitted into its top a frame (107) which also has flaps (21A,22A) which deflect downward as the money enters a bag (108) provided by elasticated material which spans the frame (107). Thereafter a cover plate (111) seals the frame (107) which can then be removed from the carrier (12) to be transported e.g. to a bank.

  • Patent number: 5379023
Abstract: A strip (12) provides a plurality of alarm stations (16, 20) each associated with an article sensor (24) such as a microswitch. Each station (16, 20) functions independently of the others to activate a remote alarm unit (18) and has its own indicator light (50), to indicate which alarm station (16, 20) has been triggered. Resetting by a shorting plug at the alarm station (16, 20) illuminates a resetting indicator light (53) and the sensor (24) is then resettable during a short time period for which only the alarm station being reset is inoperative. All remaining alarm stations are fully operational throughout alarm and resetting at one alarm station.
