    Abstract: A method of calibration of at least one fuel injector for a fuel burner in an exhaust gas treatment system for an internal combustion engine is provided. The method is adapted for an exhaust gas system having the fuel burner mounted upstream of a diesel particle filter (DPF). The method of calibration is performed during an idle speed of the combustion engine, this to assure a constant temperature of the burner during the calibration. Hence, the method is started when a first steady tempera tore is registered in the fuel burner, wherein the at least one fuel injector, is operated with a first pulse width. A first temperature of an exhaust gas is registered directly downstream of the fuel burner. After this first temperature is registered, the pulse width, of the fuel injector changed into a second pulse width, which is different from the first pulse width.

    Abstract: A multi-clutch power shift transmission for a motor vehicle with at least one prime mover is provided, where a shaft brake unit is arranged to reduce the rotational speed of one of two input shafts, and a central synchronizing unit is arranged to make a first of the input shafts rotate faster or slower than a second of the input shafts. The shaft brake unit and the central synchronizing unit are arranged to be simultaneously activated in order to reduce rotating speeds prior to the engagement of tooth clutches when the output shaft is not rotating. The input shaft brake unit is arranged to be used when performing a multi-step power shift.

    Abstract: A tank arrangement for a vehicle, particularly a truck, includes at least a first fuel tank and a second fuel tank which are connected by a balancing pipe, a suction pipe for feeding fuel to an engine and a return pipe for feeding fuel from the engine to at least one of the fuel tanks. The balancing pipe is provided with a first end to supply fuel to the first tank and a second end to suck fuel from the second tan, wherein a check valve is arranged upstream of the return pipe in the balancing pipe between the at least two tanks allowing a flow direction from the second tank to the first tank and blocking a flow in the reverse direction. Suction of fuel to the engine is from the first tank only. The check valve provides an automatic purging of the system.

    Abstract: A method and an arrangement are provided for reducing a NOx-content in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine in a vehicle. The combustion engine includes at least one cylinder, an intake for the supply of air, an exhaust outlet for discharging exhaust gases into an exhaust after treatment system for reducing emissions of the internal combustion engine. An exhaust gas recirculation supplies exhaust gas from the exhaust outlet to the intake of the internal combustion engine, and at least two energy absorbers are provided in series in the exhaust flow downstream of the exhaust outlet and absorb energy of the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas is overheated to a first temperature by driving the combustion engine in a range of rotational speed producing hot exhaust gas at the exhaust outlet. The first temperature is sufficient to drive the at least two energy absorbers.

The engine has at least one cylinder, at least one exhaust valve associated with the cylinder, and a rocker arm for activating the exhaust valve. The rocker arm is arranged on a hollow rocker shaft having a regulator responsive to an increase in oil pressured in the hollow rocker arm shaft and incorporated into the rocker arm for taking up clearance between the rocker arm ant the exhaust valve. To effect a reduction of engine speed during a gear shift, the system includes an actuator responsive to a signal generated in response to a need to effect a gear shift for rapidly increasing the oil pressure in the hollow rocker arm shaft to thereby effect valve clearance take-up.

The pump has a housing, a pumping chamber within the housing, a driver rotor and a driven rotor within the pumping chamber, and an input shaft t the housing. The input shaft is arranged such that rotation of the input shaft effects rotation of the driver rotor. The driver rotor is caused to rotate by the input shaft via a magnetic coupling. The magnetic coupling is arranged to slip when a predetermined value of torque is applied across the coupling such that a maximum pressure value of about 12 bar is attained at the output side of the pump.
