Patent number: 6913388Abstract: A flexible container formed by sealing at least two webs of material with respect to each other to form a void between the webs. Each web preferably has at least two layers. A first web has a first thickness, and a closure area. In at least a portion of the closure area, the first web has a second thickness which is less than the first thickness. A void opening formed in the first web at the closure area provides access to the void. A layer of adhesive is applied to the first web at the closure area to provide for a leak-proof seal at the closure area when the flexible container is folded with respect to the void opening.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2002Date of Patent: July 5, 2005Assignee: Vonco Products, Inc.Inventor: Louis L. Patent number: 5451179Abstract: An inflatable flexible pouch having two inner webs positioned between two outer webs. The two inner webs are attached to each other so as to form a channel between both inner webs. Each outer web and each inner web forms a body portion and a neck portion or throat opening. A first outer web is sealably attached to a first inner web and a second outer web is sealably attached to a second inner web, both sealed attachments are positioned at least partially across the neck portion or throat opening of the aligned webs. At least one inner inflatable chamber is formed between both inner webs and positioned within the outer inflatable chamber for providing increased rigidity of the inflated pouch structure. When the flexible pouch is in an inflated condition, communication is preferably closed between each inner inflatable chamber and each outer inflatable chamber, and the inner inflatable chamber is at least partially inflated, for providing even more rigidity.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1994Date of Patent: September 19, 1995Assignee: Vonco Products, Inc.Inventors: John L. Patent number: 5336123Abstract: An inflatable flexible pouch having two inner webs positioned between two outer webs. The outer webs and the inner webs are sealably attached about a general periphery of the body portion and along both side sections of the neck portion or throat opening. A throat opening is formed within the neck portion between both inner webs and such throat opening is in communication with the channel and with an ambient atmosphere which is external to or surrounds the inflatable flexible pouch.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1992Date of Patent: August 9, 1994Assignee: Vonco Products, Inc.Inventors: Louis L. Patent number: 5174659Abstract: An initially closed openable and reclosable closure for flexible bags, the closure having a tearable line of weakening defining an openable elongated slit in a flexible film of one face of the flexible bag and pressure sensitive adhesive provided on the exterior of the one face of the flexible bag on opposite sides of the openable elongated slit whereby the tearable line of weakening may be ruptured thereby opening the elongated slit and providing access to the interior of the bag. The opened elongated slit may be reclosed by folding the bag to bring the adhesive into confronting relation with itself on opposite sides of the elongated slit to form an adhesive-to-adhesive closure thereby closing the elongated slit. Reclosable flexible bags of this type reclosed in a tamper evident manner are especially useful in medical and health care fields.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 1991Date of Patent: December 29, 1992Assignee: Vonco Products, Inc.Inventor: Louis L. Patent number: 4486975Abstract: An inflatable novelty device of multiple flexible sheets sealed in regions to form a hollow inflatable peripheral body member in a general horseshoe configuration, the central portion forming a non-inflatable hand pocket cavity. Inflatable outwardly extending appendages may be contiguous with the inflatable peripheral body portion to provide shapes representing "No. 1", "V for victory" and the like. The inflated novelty devices may be worn on one or both hands and still allow clapping and other use of the hand or hands by the wearer. Such novelty devices are used at a wide variety of promotional events, sporting events, political conventions, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 1983Date of Patent: December 11, 1984Assignee: Vonco Products, Inc.Inventors: Donald R. Patent number: 4408643Abstract: Flexible plastic bags having a closure capable of withstanding external force applied to the bag. The bag has a top opening which may be easily opened and closed by a closure member secured to the exterior of the bag forming a pocket having an opening. The pocket opening extends across a portion of the bag substantially parallel to and spaced from the open end. The open end may be folded over upon itself at least two times or twisted upon itself at least three times and the pocket turned inside out over the end portion to form a closure which is resistant to external forces. The bag of this invention is especially suitable for retaining liquids and gases when an external pressure is applied to the bag.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1981Date of Patent: October 11, 1983Assignee: Vonco Products, Inc.Inventors: Louis L. Laske, Donald R. Harreld

Patent number: 4125985Abstract: A process for forming peelable seals between a layer of spunbonded olefin material and an unsupported film of polyethylene or to a supported film of a laminated or coated backing, such as polyethylene coated mylar, to form a peel-seal packet, container or pouch. The spunbonded olefin material is first pretreated with a heated die in the areas that are to form the peel-seal with heat and pressure suitable to render uniform surface characteristics to the spunbonded olefin. The heat, pressure and dwell time of the pretreatment are sufficient to reduce the high spots and internal weaknesses of the spunbonded olefin material following which a web of synthetic polymeric material having a heat sealable surface may be peelably sealed by a conventional heat sealing method.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 1977Date of Patent: November 21, 1978Assignee: Vonco Products, Inc.Inventor: Louis L. Laske
