  • Patent number: 10865549
Abstract: A hydrant has a riser pipe and a shut-off element which can be brought from at least one open position into at least one closed position and vice versa. The shut-off element in the closed position seals the interior of the riser pipe from a hydrant inlet. The hydrant comprises at least one first passage, by which the interior can be fluidically connected to the outside of the hydrant, and one second passage, by which the pressurized hydrant inlet can be fluidically connected to the outside of the hydrant, wherein the first passage and the second passage can be brought into operative connection with each other. The operative connection produces a vacuum by water flowing through the second passage such that water in the interior of the riser pipe is led away via the first passage and the riser pipe is thereby drained.

  • Patent number: 10787798
Abstract: A shut-off element of a hydrant with a hydrant axis. The shut-off element has a valve stem that is axially movable substantially along the hydrant axis, and a main valve body that can be brought into sealing contact with a sealing surface of the hydrant. The shut-off element has a damping system that is inserted between the main valve body and the valve stem or in a section of the valve stem or between an actuating element of the valve stem and the valve stem or in the actuating element itself, so that the main valve body is coupled to the valve stem axially dampened by the damping system along the hydrant axis.

  • Patent number: 8590384
Abstract: A vibration sensor arrangement (1) includes a vibrating mass (5) in permanent mechanical contact with a first side (3) of a piezoelectric element (2). The vibrating mass (5) includes a water-proof capsule (6) in which the piezoelectric element (2) is fixed. A dead weight (7) is in permanent mechanical contact with a second side (4) of the piezoelectric element (2) and is arranged in the water-proof capsule (6). A spring (8) is arranged between the dead weight (7) and the vibrating mass (5) and ensures permanent mechanical contact of the two masses (5,7) with the two sides (3,4) of the piezoelectric element (2). The vibration sensor arrangement (1) further includes first and second electric contacts (9,10) for picking up electric signals which are generated by the piezoelectric element (2) and for forwarding the signals to a recording device (11).
