Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for carrying an elongated object (2). The device comprises a first protective layer (12) a second protective layer (14); where the respective layers (12, 14) are joined together at least at some point to form a fold (20). At least one releasable locking device (30) is provided for locking at least a part of the first protective layer (12) to at least a part of the second protective layer (14), thereby providing that the elongated object (2) may be carried between the first and second protective layer (12, 14). At least one releasing device (40) is also provided, the device (40) being connected to the releasable locking device (30), wherein activation of the releasing device (40) provides a release of the elongated object (2).
